"Green Day: The Early Years" chronicles the rise of the world's most influential punk band, from their origins playing shows at Berkley's notorious Gilman Street venue in the late 80s, through the release of the platinum-selling Dookie in 1994.

The great violinist Salvatore Accardo with the Orchestra da Camera Italiana in a recital featuring Five Pieces by Fritz Kreisler, the pieces Milonga del Angel and Verano Porteño by Astor Piazzolla, and the Serenade in C Major Op. 48 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

The 29th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony took place on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The 2014 Ceremony was open to the public, as it had been for the Induction Ceremonies in Cleveland (2009, 2012) and Los Angeles (2013). This was the first time that the event was held in New York. With performances by Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, KISS, Nirvana, Linda Ronstadt, and Cat Stevens.

Turn It Around: The Story of East Bay Punk spans over 30 years of the California Bay Area’s punk music history with a central focus on the emergence of the inspiring 924 Gilman Street collective. This diverse group of artists, writers, organizers and musicians created a do-it-yourself petri dish that changed the punk scene... and the world at large.

Filmed at the Scala, London in 2011, Claudia Brucken, using the nucleus of her current Onetwo band, performed an exciting 98 minute live set playing 19 song selections from her 27-year career aided by a host of special guests, including Andy Bell (Erasure), Glenn Gregory & Martyn Ware (Heaven 17), Susanne Freytag and Ralf Dorper (Propaganda) and Andrew Poppy.

In the early 1970s, rubber was still king in Akron, Ohio. But just a few short years later, Akron's most important product was, ever so briefly, music. In the mid-1970s, a group of local bands took over an old rubber workers' hang-out in downtown Akron called The Crypt and created a mix of punk and art rock that came to be known as "the Akron Sound." And for a while, it was almost "the next big thing." Almost. It's Everything, and Then It's Gone, a Western Reserve PBS production written and directed by Phil Hoffman., takes viewers back to a time when the music really did mean everything. And for the men and women in these local bands, it was a way out of the factory.

Iggy Pop’s ‘explosive performance’ (NME) at the revered Montreux Jazz Festival in 2023 is now available to see and hear in all its ‘vital and dangerous’ (CLASH) glory as Iggy Pop ‘Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 2023’ is released everywhere today in both physical and digital formats. On July 6th, 2023 Iggy Pop returned to the iconic event backed by a seven-piece band (including horn section) and thrilled a capacity Stravinski Auditorium crowd. The career-spanning set includes tracks from his time with The Stooges, his Idiot and Lust for Life albums, New Values leading up to his recent release Every Loser (which reached Top 10 sales charts across Europe).

Four female cons who have formed a band in prison get a chance to play at a police ball outside the walls. They take the chance to escape. Being on the run from the law they even make it to sell their music and become famous outlaws.

In Berlin, on the site of the former Tempelhof airport, a new open-air festival was born this summer: Tempelhof Sounds. British pop singer Florence Welch and her band literally shook the park with their powerful lyrical accents, going so far as to trigger an earthquake on their classic "Dog Days are Over" when the 60,000 or so spectators jumped at the same time.

Abbey Road, The Beatles' last album, was released on September 26, 1969. Abbey Road became a great final creative explosion - which, like predecessors Magical Mystery Tour, Sgt Pepper and The White Album, was never played live by The Beatles themselves.
