Recorded live at New York's legendary Odeon nightclub, this one-hour 1983 concert features award-winning songwriter Randy Newman, with guests Ry Cooder and Linda Ronstadt. Mingling humorous lyrics with a blend of New Orleans R&B, traditional pop, and folk, Newman sings his favorites, including "I Love L.A.," "Burn On, Big River," "Short People," "Political Science," "Rednecks," "Guilty," "My Life Is Good" and "I Think It's Going to Rain Today."

After more than a decade apart, the Bangles reunite for a memorable concert of their greatest hits filmed live at the Hollywood House of Blues in 2000. Highlights include renditions of "Walk Like an Egyptian," "Eternal Flame," "Manic Monday," "In Your Room" and "Hazy Shade of Winter," plus a candid interview with band members Susanna Hoffs, Debbi Peterson, Vicki Peterson and Michael Steele about the highs and lows of pop stardom.

Genre-hopping singer Marianne Faithfull caps off a yearlong concert tour with pianist Paul Trueblood in this 1997 performance dominated by songs from German theatrical composer Kurt Weill's songbook. The set list includes "Alabama Song," "Pirate Jenny," "Bilbao Song," "Complainte de la Seine," "The Ballad of the Soldier's Wife," "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "Don't Forget Me," "Surabaya Johnny," "Street Singer's Farewell," and "If Love Were All."

The show features some great light and sound effects apart from the great music that Eagles is renowned for. The 'five-part' harmony song, "Hole in the World" elicits a great crowd participation with the audience providing a 'clap rhythm' as the band sings. The song "Life's Been Good" features some antics by Joe Walsh and Frey with them staging a mock rivalry on stage and the latter having a hearty laugh at the former. The song also features a 'helmet cam' session where the crowd gets to see what the camera on Walsh's helmet points at. Also, the songs "The Boys of Summer" and "Hotel California" feature the first officially documented use by the Eagles of a drum machine in a live performance; in particular, during "Hotel California", a pre-programmed track is used to simulate the muted guitar strums which provide a steady beat on the original studio recording of the song, and which are absent from all of the previous live performances of it.

For long-time fans, this may be the most outstanding concert by Queen. The reason? It gives a perfect overview of an early Queen presentation. The material, the costumes, and the performance of the members are really great and supported by the hilarious conversational approach of a young Freddie Mercury. In one of the last interviews, the singer Freddie Mercury said that the way he looked in those days was ridiculous; many would argue. The band looked very theatrical and outrageous. That's the way that the orthodox, good old fashion Queen fan likes it more, so it's joyful to see the careful treatment of the performance and the power of the Queen sound when all the members of the band sing together.

Diva Las Vegas was a show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas starring Bette Midler performing as singer and comedian. The one-time performance was filmed for television; HBO released it as a TV special originally broadcast on January 18, 1997 and repeated on February 2, 1997. Midler won the 1997 Primetime Emmy Award for Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program for the special. Among the songs performed were The Rose, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, From A Distance, Friends, Wind Beneath My Wings, Stay With Me and Do You Want To Dance?. Bette's daughter Sophie von Haselberg appeared for a short time during the song "Ukulele Lady". She sat with the rest of the cast and musicians on stage playing a ukulele and singing the words.

The Final Countdown 30th Anniversary Show - Live at the Roundhouse celebrates the multi-platinum album's triple decade success.
