After painful quest to find her body and give her a proper burial, by the new year's eve the family is settled in a makeshift home near the wreckage of their home. While his daughter and son are still playing and merging the disaster into their games, the father for the sake of his children struggles to find strength and heart to live on.

A roadside movie about a teenage girl who feels trapped by her life in a remote petrol station in the Scottish Highlands.

Pierre Vignol, an artist wintering in Arizona, is bitten by a snake. He is taken by his friend, Tom Hornby, to Padre Francisco, who prescribes for the bite. Pierre, at the request of Tom, returns to his cabin and Tom takes care of him. Later Tom discovers a tube in Lost River. This proves to be a painting and Pierre takes it to Padre Francisco. The Padre reads him an interesting history of Fr. Bartolomeo. founder of the Mission, and of how the painting came to be discovered in Lost River, for it had been thrown there by a monk when the Mission was attacked by the Indians, owing to the abduction of the Chief's daughter by a villainous Spaniard. Tom takes the painting to New York where he sells it and gives the money to the wife of Tom, who has been too poor to bring her and the baby to Arizona.

Adapted from the Edgar Allen Poe short story called “Bon-Bon”. The film is a dark comedy about a man intoxicated on wine and his own ideas on the meaning of the soul. It is in this state that he is visited by the Devil, and a philosophical discussion about the soul ensues.

It seems that the only ones who care about her are the nurses. With the arrival of a patient in need of an operation, it becomes apparent that chronic patients have little priority.
