Singer and musician Petr Ulrych celebrated his 70th birthday in February this year, his sister Hana celebrated her 65th birthday a month later, and together they have been playing and singing for an incredible fifty years. Add to that forty years since the birth of their band Javory and the fifth anniversary of the younger Javory Beat, and there is reason to celebrate several significant anniversaries of a unique musical legend! The super guitarist Masayoshi Takanaka turns 70 and returns to Katsushika for the first time in four years!! In 2021, he celebrated the 50th anniversary of his debut, and his legendary live "Niji Densetsu Final" was a great success at the Budokan. This year, at his 70s, he is still running through the national tour, including a live show at Katsushika. Guitar freaks should not miss this show!

Imany began her professional life in New York as a model. The events of September 11, 2001, changed everything and forced the Frenchwoman of Comorian origin to string together a series of odd jobs. Tired of that life, a few years later Imany threw herself wholeheartedly into music. It turned out to be a wise choice for the young woman, who can now boast of having composed two albums (The Shape of a Broken Heart in 2011 and The Wrong Kind of War this year) and a film soundtrack (Sous la jupe des filles). Don’t be misled by the ubiquitous remix of Don’t Be Shy: Imany’s music is organic, made of strings and percussion. Deeply influenced by Bob Dylan and Tracy Chapman, the singer speaks to us of love and ideals in her deep, slightly husky voice. Joined by his long-running five-piece band The Dukes, Earle hit the stage kicking off his Guy Clark tribute with the classic “Dublin Blues,” receiving exuberant cheers at the opening line “Wish I was in Austin.” Earle immediately went into “Texas 1947,” featuring the expert pedal steel work of Ricky Ray Jackson. After sharing a short story about how he met Guy Clark while hitchhiking around Texas, the band performed the ode to the Hill Country honky-tonkin’ queen “Rita Ballou,” featuring Eleanor Whitmore on violin. Following a tale about Clark’s loyalty to Texas BBQ over Tennessee style BBQ, Joe Ely joined Earle on stage to perform “Desperadoes Waiting For a Train” – two Texas music legends trading verses on one of the state’s most influential songs.

Live at the Hard Rock Cafe is the second live DVD released by UK singer Melanie C. Filmed in 2008 at the Hard Rock Café in Manchester, it features Melanie performing a selection of songs from her first four albums. Fans from all over the world came not only to see Melanie perform, but also to help raise money for Hard Rock Cafe's yearly fundraiser, Pinktober. Already five months pregnant, Melanie performed a selection of her greatest hits along with some personal favourites during a 75-minute set. Filmed with just three camcorders, this film captures the raw intensity of this special acoustic event.
