Sherman's Way: A Kid's Guide to Coping with Change

Franziska is a romantically inclined housewife with two children and a husband who spends most of his time traveling around the world and working as a director. However, he cheats on her with his actresses. Franziska goes to see the lawyer Enno Winkel about buying a house, but he prefers to handle divorces. And without realizing it, she suddenly inadvertently initiates her own divorce...

Keld is in a rut. His wife of 25 years has left him. For sustenance, he eats his way through the menu at the local Chinese takeaway. The owner talks him into a marriage of convenience with his sister from China and the unplanned-for happens. A delicate romance blossoms between these two damaged, fragile individuals, but a secret gives their relationship a fateful twist. A subtle and touching story of life's diversity.

Three middle-aged wealthy couples take vacations together in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Along the way we are treated to mid-life, marital, parental and other crises.

Pontus is divorced and has custody of his children every other week while living life as a bachelor the rest of the time. His older brother, Jens, is married since 20 years and has three children. When Jens' marriage collapses, he moves in with his younger brother - a move which will change both of their lives radically.

Determined to play fate, the two swap roles - at the end of the journey, Louise travels as Charlie to her father, who works as a composer in Berlin-Kreuzberg, while Charlie travels as Louise to her mother in Hamburg, where she works in an advertising agency. The girls realize that getting their parents back together is not as easy as they thought.

After a rough divorce, Frances, a 35-year-old professor and writer from San Francisco takes a tour of Tuscany at the urgings of her friends. On a whim she buys Bramasole, a run down villa in the Tuscan countryside and begins to piece her life together starting with the villa and finds that life sometimes has unexpected ways of giving her everything she wanted.

Ten-year-old Gabe is just a normal kid growing up in Manhattan until Rosemary Telesco walks into his karate class. But before Gabe can tell Rosemary how he feels, she reveals that she will not be going to public school any more. Gabe has a lot more to learn about life, love, and girls.

Pelopidas and his wife, Pelagia, receive a visit from their fiery daughter, Dora, who announces that she is separating from her husband, Haris. Before they have time to recover from the shock, their other daughter, Yuli, bursts in and announces that she is also getting divorced. The reason for all this is the new fashion of mini skirts, as women demand the freedom to choose how they dress, but men do not accept the mini. The youngest daughter follows her sisters' example and breaks off her engagement, as does their voluptuous aunt, who also leaves her husband. Pelopidas, trying to reason with his daughters, also asks for a divorce from Pelagia, who leads him by the nose.
