An unemployed university graduate works as a maid in a hotel and there falls in love with a girl, which then correspond. It happens to be the daughter of the hotel owner. After several misunderstandings, the two young people meet and live happily.

After numerous fruitless attempts to get a job, an outspoken unemployed Greek, Michalis Vidas, is eventually taken in for a psychological evaluation by an unlucky twist of fate.
