A chronicle of the rise and brief career of rock 'n' roll star Buddy Holly, who aspires to play music the way he wants it to sound. Holly and his band, the Crickets, are first invited to record in Nashville, where they encounter creative differences with the producing staff. Later they play a major booking at the Apollo Theater, scheduled there under the mistaken assumption that they're a black band. Holly's career eventually goes solo -- until the tragic day the music dies.
They met by chance but, alas, it was bad timing. He proposed in a trailer dressing room. She responded with lipstick kisses on a mirror. A blending of music and marriage that defies time. Soul 2 Soul. The best goes on.

This one-hour compilation, beginning with the Arnold Layne promo from 1967 and culminating with the reunited band's performance at Live 8 in 2005, of rarely screened Pink Floyd videos and performances was produced in 2011, as part of the "Why Pink Floyd?" reissue campaign. It included some fantastic upgrades compared to what was circulating until then, such as the Point Me At The Sky 1968 promo video, Ian Emes' animation film for One Of These Days, and restored footage from the 1970 KQED TV show. Also including a newly-restored Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2) and performances of Grantchester Meadows, Cymbeline and others.
The disc eschews their early bubblegum phase in favor of the hits from 2000's "No Strings Attached" and 2001's "Celebrity"--"Bye Bye Bye," "It's Gonna Be Me," the relentlessly catchy "Pop," and "This I Promise You" (which is also presented in an unreleased Spanish-language version).

Documenting the bands formation - with the help of Island Records eccentric, genius producer Guy Stevens - their early, pre-punk, riotous gigs which saw them banned from venues in the UK, to their sold out 5 nights at the URIS theater on Broadway.
