Marie-Françoise Theodore

Biography

Marie-Françoise Theodore is an interdisciplinary artist of Haitian descent working in film, television and theatre as writer, actor and filmmaker. A native of Chicago IL, she resides in Los Angeles, CA with her son Aaron. Marie-Françoise is the recipient of a 2006 Women In Film/General Motors Acceleration Grant for Emerging Filmmakers and is a 2006 Film Independent Fellow – Project:Involve Honoree (formerly IFP/LA), and was mentored by esteemed film and television director Neema Barnett. In 2007, Marie-Francoise received a Frances E. Williams Artist Grant for Writing to attend Natalie Goldberg's 'Old Friend, Far Away' Memoir Writing Retreat in Sante Fe, NM. Her debut feature length screenplay The Street, adapted from the award-winning novel by Ann Petry, has been a finalist for several prestigious screenplay programs including the Bush Foundation Fellowship, Tribeca All Access Connects and twice for the Roy W. Dean Foundation. Marie-Françoise has been short-listed for the Sundance Screenwriter Labs for three consecutive years.   Marie-Françoise is the writer/director/actor of two experimental narrative short films: the multi-award winning rebel in the soul and bloodmemory.  rebel in the soul, has screened in over ten film festivals nationally and abroad, winning Best Experimental Short at the 2003 Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival in NY. Marie-Françoise starred in the independent feature film Strange As Angels (also Associate Producer) distributed by Image Entertainment; Love Jones (New Line Cinema); and Small Metal Jacket (BBC Films). Marie-Françoise holds an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from Columbia College, Chicago IL. Marie-Françoise is currently working on her memoir Not A Proper Haitian Girl, which chronicles her Chicago childhood in the 1970s-- from placement in an orphanage at birth through to her natural mother's subsequent marriage to Marie-Françoise's foster-mother's nephew. The memoir explores the complex relationships of an extended foster and natural family and the consequences of memory and identity for a young girl.

Judah Lewis is an American actor. He is known for his main roles in the films The Babysitter, its sequel The Babysitter: Killer Queen, and Demolition. Lewis is the son of Hara and Mark Lewis, who are acting teachers. In 2014, Lewis played in the Lifetime television film Deliverance Creek. In May 2015, Lewis was among the six actors who screen tested for the lead role (which went to Tom Holland) in the 2017 reboot film Spider-Man: Homecoming. In 2015, Lewis played a supporting role in the comedy-drama film Demolition. He also played in the action thriller remake Point Break, appearing briefly as the young version of the lead character Johnny Utah. In 2015, Lewis filmed the role of a boy hunted by his babysitter in the comedy horror film The Babysitter. The finished film was acquired by Netflix in December 2016 and was released on October 13, 2017. In 2018, Lewis co-starred in the Canadian horror mystery film Summer of 84. Lewis played a supporting role in the Netflix family film The Christmas Chronicles.In 2019, he co-starred in the thriller film I See You. Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. Jean-Laurent Cochet (28 January 1935 – 7 April 2020) was a French director and actor. He was best known for starring in movies such as A Thousand Billion Dollars and Fort Saganne. He was an important teacher for acting. Hundreds of his students have succeeded in theater and cinema: Gérard Depardieu, Richard Berry, Claude Jade, Isabelle Huppert, Daniel Auteuil, Emmanuelle Béart, Carole Bouquet, Fabrice Luchini, etc. On 7 April 2020, he died from COVID-19 during the pandemic. Eden Brolin (born 1994) is an American actress, best known for her role as Charlie Singer in the Beyond television series[1] and as Mia in Yellowstone. She is the daughter of actor Josh Brolin and Alice Adair. Brolin's first starring role was in the Richard Linklater-produced indie feature I Dream Too Much. Other credits include Code Black and Manson's Lost Girls. Brolin stars as the mysterious Charlie Singer in the supernatural drama Beyond on the Freeform TV channel. After a well-reviewed performance in season one, she was quickly promoted to a series regular by the network. Brolin also stars as Mia opposite Kevin Costner in the western drama Yellowstone, where she plays a barrel racer at the rodeo who becomes friendly with the bunkhouse guys. She starred as Ophelia in a 2019 stage production of Hamlet. In 2020, Brolin starred opposite Liam Hemsworth and Vince Vaughn in the Lionsgate theatrical feature Arkansas. Brolin is also the lead singer of the music group known as Atta Boy, and eight years after the band's debut album titled Out of Sorts was released, their second album titled Big Heart Manners was released on June 26, 2020.

Magda El Khatib is an Egyptian actor who was born in Cairo in 1943. She began her acting career with a small role in the film “Hob wa Delaa” (Love and Endearment; 1959). El Khatib then went on to play starring roles in a numerous films including “El Bayt El Mela’un” (The Cursed House; 1987) alongside Kamal El Shenawi. Throughout her career, she has appeared in more than 130 works and won several acting awards, including the “Golden Pyramid” for her role in “Dalal Masriya” (Dalal, The Egyptian; 1966), which was her first starring role. El Khatib also won Best Actress for her role in the film “El Tufaha” (The Apple).

Karol Machata

Biography

Karol Machata was born into a working-class family in Malacky. He started on the radio at the age of twelve and devoted himself to amateur theater. In the end, he preferred theater to economics. From 1948 to 1950 he studied acting at the State Conservatory in Bratislava and from 1952 to 1953 he worked at the Army Theater in Martin. Karol Machata is one of the most important representatives of Slovak acting of the post-war generation. He performed his first roles on theater boards in Martin. He appeared in the production of Sládkovičová Marina (1948), in The Assassination (the character of a member of the group of assassins on Heydrich, 1949), he played the character of Fortinbras in Shakespeare's Hamlet (1950). His title characters Geľa Sebechlebský (1952) and Jánošík (1953) enjoyed a penetrating success. For the next forty-five years he was a member of the Drama of the Slovak National Theater in Bratislava, where he worked from 1953 to 1998. He became a versatile actor. He was able to play heroic roles, but he also excelled in comedic or lyrical positions. He made his film debut as a Slovak aviator in the Czech film Vítezná křídla 1950 and has been one of the busiest film and television actors ever since. He has acted in dozens of Slovak films that belong to the golden fund of Slovak cinema: Zemianska honor, St. Peter's Umbrella, Interrupted Song, Song of the Gray Pigeon, Midnight Mass, Miss Bacilpýška's Crime, Sin of Katarína Padychová, Hidden Spring, Gold, Salt or Geľo Sebechlebský and many others. For significant merits in the field of theater, film and radio production, the President awarded him the Pribin Cross II in 2003. classes. In 2005 he received the Tatrabanka Award for Art and in 2008 he won the OTO Award and was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Burkely Duffield (born August 9, 1992) is a Canadian actor. He is known for his roles as Eddie Miller in House of Anubis and as Holden Matthews in Beyond. His sister is actress and singer Victoria Duffield. Duffield made his screen debut in the 2006 drama film Under the Mistletoe. He then went on to play a main role in the Nickelodeon mystery series, House of Anubis. From 2017–2018, Duffield starred in the main role of Holden Matthews in the sci-fi drama series Beyond, which lasted two seasons. In August 2019, Duffield was cast in the Netflix slasher film There's Someone Inside Your House. The film was released on October 6, 2021.

Alan Beckwith

Biography

Born January 2, 1952 in Tyrone, Pennsylvania  Upon graduation from high school in 1969, was awarded a full scholarship from the U.S.A.F. (only 40 was awarded that year). He has an honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1971. And received a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering in 1972. After graduation Alan received his draft notice for Vietnam . He enlisted into the U.S.M.C. and was sent to Quantico, Virginia to Officer Candidate School and got his 2nd Lt. commission in December 1972. The Marines sent him to Flight school at the U.S.N. Pensacola, Florida. He was in primary flight training when the war ended and was honorably discharged. He had his theatre debut in a Jon Voight production of "the Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel" in Los Angeles which starred David Proval. Was seen by 'Renee Valente' head of casting at Columbia Pictures who introduce him to director Buzz Kulik who used him in Lindbergh Kidnapping Case, The (1976) (TV). This led to other television and film roles. At this time there was some misfortunes. A never released film titled "Ellipsis" with Billy Gray and Toni Basil, and an unsold MTM pilot "Nichols and Dymes" aka "The Iron Cowboys". He co-owned a vintage clothing store on Sunset Blvd. for a while and briefly moved to Miami. He has done voice overs and looping for such shows as "Magnum, P.I." (1980) and "Miami Vice" (1984). Currently living in Studio City, California. Presently with Sony Pictures Entertainment He was an accomplished painter of portraits and landscapes in both oils and acrylics. He took several prizes and awards throughout Pennsylvania in the 1960's. While at Penn State, was a fraternity member of both Sigma Tau Gamma and Alpha Phi Omega. Being an active spelunker, Alan did his undergraduate Aerospace thesis underground in the Milroy Cave System in Central Pennsylvania using knowledge of fluid dynamics to explain the formation of flutes etched on the limestones corriders by analysis of the water flow. Beckwith holds an honorable discharge from both the U.S. Air Force and the the U.S. Marine Corps. At 20, was the youngest comissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps with a four year degree. Bowed out from going to a concert in upstate  New York in August of 1969 to study for final exams in his first term at Penn State. It would later be known as Woodstock.

Joyce Jonathan (born 3 November 1989) is a French singer and songwriter. Her first album Sur mes gardes went gold in May 2010 only five months after its release, and was certified platinum less than a year later. On 23 January 2011 she received the NRJ Music Awards for Francophone Breakthrough of the Year. Joyce was born in Levallois-Perret, the youngest of a family of three girls. Her mother is the director of a travel agency and her father is an architect. She was educated at the École alsacienne in Paris, and studied psychology at the university level. At the age of seven, she learned to play the piano and began composing her first songs secretly. She pursued her musical interests with voice and piano lessons, being influenced by artists such as Teri Moses and Tracy Chapman. At the age of 16, Joyce Jonathan posted three of her compositions on the site MySpace, promoting them to Michael Goldman, co-founder of the new label My Major Company . In December 2007, at the age of 18, Joyce Jonathan was launched on the website of the label My Major Company. On May 13, 2008, 486 internet backers provided the 70,000 euros needed to start production of her album. Six months after its release, the web-producers of Joyce Jonathan had already recouped their investment With internet backing, Jonathan began recording her first album in 2008, with the help of Louis Bertignac (guitarist of the band Téléphone). Reputedly impressed by the talent and voice of the young artist, he agreed to assist her on the arrangement of her songs, working together with her in his studio for a year. Joyce also recorded a duet with Tété, Sur mes gardes. Her two singles, "Je ne sais pas" and "Pas besoin de toi", were included in her first album "Sur mes gardes," released in January 2010, and certified gold after only five months. In August, the album ranked first in sales of albums for download. In 2011, she won the category Francophone Breakthrough of the year of the NRJ Music Awards 2011. She has just recorded a song "Mystères" with Pétula Clark. Her second album, Caractère, was released in June 2013, including the single Ça ira. She was nominated at the NRJ Music Awards for best female singer and best song. In 2014, she participated in the fifth season of Danse avec les stars – the French version of Dancing with the Stars. She was partnered with professional dancer Julien Brugel. On October 18, 2014, they were eliminated, finishing 9th out of 11 contestants. Joyce Jonathan released her song "Le Bonheur" in September 2015. It is the first single of her 3rd album, Une place pour moi, which was released on 5 February 2016. On 4 May 2018, Joyce Jonathan released her single "On", which is also a track on her album of the same name, which was released in October 2018. In May 2021, Jonathan began releasing singles in anticipation of her sixth studio album, Les p'tites jolies choses. The complete album was released on March 25, 2022 and has two parts. The first, part "A" has 12 songs with a more pop style and includes the titular song and others such as "À la vie comme à la mort" with Jason Mraz.
