Zerihun sleeps with Mahlet, the daughter of the owner of the warehouse Gashe was renting for his carpentry business. Mahlet ends up getting pregnant and her father (Mekonen Leake's character) furious at what Zerihun had done, locks up the warehouse, and refuses to let anyone inside.

A teeny-tiny bit better than the original. Still a drag, though.
'Yewendoch Guday 2', like its predecessor, is overlong at almost 1hr 50mins as it still fails to entertain. To be fair, though, I think it's objectively a more well made film - (extremely) relatively so. I mean that both on and off screen, the plot has slightly more to it but also filmmaking-wise it is a minute improvement in my opinion.
Like before, the cast are likeable enough that I didn't hate what I was watching. With that said, as with the first movie, I was certainly happy to see the credits arrive! Still, good to tick off Ethiopia in my world trip.
