A promising artist and a singer fall in love in college and get married against their families' wishes. The singer soon begins performing to support her husband and becomes nationally renowned. On the other hand, the artist fails to earn a livelihood and becomes alcoholic.

Manik has come to Kolkata to meet his father's friend Chandrakanta Majumadar who is an established businessman. Manik meets with an accident on the way. Samir tries to save his life. Before his death Manik requests Samir to take care of his father and younger sister; he also tells Samir not to disclose the news of his accident. Manik gives Samir all required information. Samir becomes Manik; he meets Chandrakanta as Manik. Chandrakanta appoints him in his own office.

The film tells the story of Murat and Helga, Turkish agents fighting against German spies during World War II. Helga's father, Alex, is a German spy who hates Turkey. Helga, who was born and raised in Turkey, does not share her father's views. After Alex's death, Murat, acting on orders from Turkish intelligence, is tasked with enlisting Helga to uncover the Germans' plans regarding Turkey. Helga is to marry Hans, who has taken Alex's place, thereby enabling her to learn the Germans' plans. The love between Helga and Murat will complicate this mission.
