Al Ernest Garcia

Biography

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Al Ernest Garcia (11 March 1887 – 4 September 1938) was an American actor, best known for his long association with Charlie Chaplin. He acted with Chaplin in six films between 1921 and 1936, cast mostly in clinical or villainous supporting roles. Garcia portrayed the brutal circus director in The Circus (1928), the snobbish butler of the millionaire in City Lights (1931), and the factory owner in Modern Times (1936). He was also a casting director for Chaplin on The Circus, City Lights, and Modern Times. Garcia was co-founder of the Motion Picture Extras and Supporting Players Association, founded in 1933.

George Clinton

​From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.   George Clinton (born July 22, 1941) is an American singer, songwriter, bandleader, and music producer and the principal architect of P-Funk. He was the mastermind of the bands Parliament and Funkadelic during the 1970s and early 1980s, and launched a solo career in 1981. He has been cited as one of the foremost innovators of funk music, along with James Brown and Sly Stone. Clinton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 with fifteen other members of Parliament-Funkadelic. Asha Sarath was born in Perumbavoor as the daughter of V.S.Krishnan Kutty Nair & renowned classical dancer Kalamandalam Sumathy. She is is married to Sarath. They have two daughters Uthara and Keerthana. She was trained by her mother in Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam and Kuchipudi. She bagged the top prize at an all-India dance fete in Benares in 1992. She received film offers poured in, but chose to act in a few serials and telefilms, before she got married and shifted to Dubai. She acted in a telefilm Nizhalum Nilavum Parayunnathu, which won her the State television award for the second best actress and fetched her the role of Jayanthi in the serial Kumkumapoovu. In 2013, she played a police officer in the film Drishyam which was well received and became her first commercial hit.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Yves Boisset (born 14 March 1939) is a French film director and scriptwriter. Boisset began his career as an assistant director. After working with such directors as Hossein, Ciampi, Melville and Clement, he began directing short films until the late 1960s when he made his feature film debut. Boisset frequently contributes to the scripts he shoots and is known for his fast-paced action-adventures and his social and political thrillers. Norma Jordan is an American born showgirl, actress and singer, who made a name for herself in Italian showbiz from late 1960s to mid 1980s. An article on La Stampa, dated November 11 1977, describes her as a "28 Detroit-born black girl [neretta], arrived in Italy in 1971" but according to The Pittsburgh Courier (5.5.1973) she was native of Norfolk, VA. Norma was already known in Italy in late 1960s: in 1969 was released Italian-Spanish Spaghetti Western "Il prezzo del potere" (The Price of Power, 1969), also starring Ray Saunders and introducing Norma as supporting actress and singer (her song was called "Catch a Star from the Sky" and included in the soundtrack of the film). In 1971 she was involved as a witness in a crime case, the double murder of a young black American actress (Tiffany Hoyveld, former roommate of Norma) and of her Italian boyfriend Giuliano Carabei, that took place between 15 and 16 December 1971 on Marignano lake, near Rome. Norma continued to have roles in Italian films and TV series until late 1970s, among which "Natale in casa d'appuntamento" (Holiday Hookers, 1976) and "La ragazza dalla pelle di corallo" (1976), filmed in Santo Domingo and released on the strength of successful exotic erotic movies starring Zeudi Araya. She featured also as showgirl, host or guest, in TV shows "Un secondo d'amore" (1974), "L'amico della notte" (1977), "Settimo anno" (1978), "Tilt" (1979), "Hello Goggi" (1981), "Maurizio Costanzo Show" (1983), "Il cappello sulle ventitré" (1983). In the same years she modeled for men's magazines, as "Playmen" cover model in issue 3, 1977, appearing also in the Italian edition of "Playboy" (June 1975, February 1978). In late 1970s Norma was launched also as a disco music singer, with the albums "Feel Me" (Ciao, 1979) - featuring the hit single "Disco Beat", and "No Obligations" (Ciao, 1980), produced by Thor Baldursson. After 1983 her name dropped off the chronicles.

Ana de la Reguera grew up in the tropical state of Veracruz, on the Gulf Coast of Mexico. She began her performance arts studies in the Cultural Institute of Veracruz, then left for Televisa's Center for Artistic Education (CEA) and TV Aztecas' artistic institute (CEFAC) in Mexico City, later taking study with Lisa Robertson and Aaron Spicer in Los Angeles and acting coach Juan 'Carlos Corzza in Spain. In theatre she participated in "El Cartero" ("Il Postino") for which she received two awards: one for "Best Actress" from the Association of Theatre Journalists in Mexico and the other for the year's "Most Promising Actress" from the Association of Theatre Critics and Journalists.
