A detailed chronicle of the famous 1969 tour of the United States by the British rock band The Rolling Stones, which culminated with the disastrous and tragic concert held on December 6 at the Altamont Speedway Free Festival, an event of historical significance, as it marked the end of an era: the generation of peace and love suddenly became the generation of disillusionment.

As the band Placebo approach their 20th Anniversary they were given a unique opportunity to play ten cities throughout Russia. In a time when Russia was at the forefront of the world’s current affairs, little was actually reported outside Russia about the internal culture of the country. Fronted by Placebo’s Stefan Olsdal, the film explores the alternative cultures that are present within Russia’s major cities. As the tour travelled through the country the band went out and met various artists, architects, animators and musicians, finding out about the alternative creative culture and celebrating all they have to offer. From Krasnoyarsk in Siberia to St. Petersburg on the Baltic Sea, Placebo: Alt.Russia takes you on the band’s journey through Russia, meeting great characters on the way, investigating the alternative culture in Russia, and taking in the raw emotions of Placebo’s powerful concerts.

The national idol unit "Fool's End" suddenly announced its dissolution. The group will hand over the "Tenka Bata," which can only be held by the best idols in the world, to a successor group. The successor group will be decided based on the total score of each group's music sales, live attendance, and merchandise sales. The race was named the "Battle Royale for the Tenka Bata," and it marks the beginning of a nationwide battle of the idols. At the Kawanakajima Festival, where the three groups NO PRINCESS, Lunatic Eyes, and "X-UC" were to perform, an incident occurred to a member of X-UC. "Idols" have become a representative part of Japanese culture. This film is a documentary that delves into the undiscovered "underside of idols". SKE48 was established in July 2008 in Sakae, Nagoya, as the first group of AKB48's national expansion. SKE48 was the forerunner of the 48 Project, which later expanded nationwide and then worldwide. The group is full of girls who are trying to make their dreams as idols come true. The film portrays in graphic detail the emotions of these girls who have foregone an ordinary girl's life to choose the profession of an "idol".

The winner of a record-breaking six Tony Awards as well as two Grammy awards and an Emmy, Audra McDonald performs a repertoire of classic Broadway songs, including “I Am What I Am,” “Summertime,” “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” and many more.

This legendary performance by Van Morrison and The Caledonia Soul Orchestra was filmed at The Rainbow in London in July, 1973. Previously unissued, it stands as one of the greatest live shows by any band.

The Day

An intimate look at the Woodstock Music & Art Festival held in Bethel, NY in 1969, from preparation through cleanup, with historic access to insiders, blistering concert footage, and portraits of the concertgoers; negative and positive aspects are shown, from drug use by performers to naked fans sliding in the mud, from the collapse of the fences by the unexpected hordes to the surreal arrival of National Guard helicopters with food and medical assistance for the impromptu city of 500,000.

A whirlwind of improvisation combines the images of animator Pierre Hébert with the avant-garde sound of techno whiz Bob Ostertag in this singular multimedia experience, a hybrid of live animation and performance art.
