Ghoulishly funny. this short follows a curling match between humans and zombies who must choose between sportsmanship and bloodsport.

Once a great curling star, Truls Paulsen is diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder and banned from competition. But when he learns that his old friend and coach Gordon is on his deathbed, Truls, heavily-medicated decides to compete again, in the hopes of winning money for Gordon to have an operation in the US. Truls stops taking the meds and tries to convince his old team mates that he is mentally stable enough to lead them to victory in the Norwegian Curling Championship. But, is it a good sign that he obsessively insists his teammates pull their zippers all the way up before they can play?

In the deep south of New Zealand - Central Otago is the last place in the world that still up-holds the traditions of outdoor curling. At its heart is Naseby, a town of character and community, bound together by their love of curling. They hunger for hard frosts and freezing lakes but their passion for ice is now been tested. A changing climate means that curling outdoors may soon become a thing of the past and these passionate curlers may never again be able to compete for New Zealand's oldest sporting trophy - the Baxter's Cup.

Two collegiate-level athletes share their stories about falling in love with their sport and the prices they had to pay to get here today

When the members of the Keystone Rainbow Curling League get together, it's not just about the game. Rainbow Ice follows four members of Manitoba's premiere LGBT2SQ+ curling league as they gear up for another season. The league, which has been around since 2005, is made up of 28 teams with players from the LGBT2SQ+ community and their allies. It's an open and inclusive place to escape Winnipeg's brutal winters and enjoy some exercise, camaraderie and sport at the 140-year-old Granite Curling Club. Rainbow Ice takes a look at the positive space that's created when the spirit of fun, friendship and freedom to be yourself are combined with a love of curling.

High school janitor Rickey loses everything when his girlfriend, Kelly, is selected to play hockey for Team USA and compete in the World Games. To win her back, Rickey creates a misfit curling team and uses his sweeping skills to compete for gold and complete a comic quest for redemption that captivates the nation.


This is an excellent and spirited picture of fine quality depicting the international curling contests in Switzerland, showing the Scotch champion team under very favorable conditions as well as many of the other leading contestants. The heads of the rinks both at the playing up and the "tee" ends are well shown, as also mid-rink views with the "stones"' merrily sailing past. The appropriate mid-winter Alpine surroundings make up a fine picture.

Also there are ski-jumping contests that will give thrills of pleasure. Snow-shoe hiking is popular with those who prefer it, and many a cross-country hike is taken on snow five feet deep or more. Then, too, there are dog sled races, curling-club matches, coasting and tea dances. The pictures of these sports were taken while the thermometer registered from ten to thirty degrees below zero. Besides sports there are many historical points of interest in Quebec. The Chateau Frontenac, overlooking the Duffern Terrace, the lower city and ice-choked St. Lawrence River, stands on the site of the historic Fort Louis, former stronghold of the French and English governors of the Province of Quebec. The famous battlefield where the English general Wolfe died is a particular point of interest.
