Desperate Youth

A film adaptation (funded by Ken Togo) based on an expose book by a person involved in the Japanese entertainment industry of the time. The book describes among other things the drug-fueled parties, orgies of the entertainment business and what some celebrities like Johnny Kitagawa among others were allegedly up to in their free time. Basically giving an open-book about the secrets of the entertainment-world. The film adapts and portrays some of the shocking scenes of this book, focussing more on the gay-aspect of the expose.

A wealthy mine owner's wife gets him to hire Jean Scholast, a footloose adventurer, as a reward for saving her. Unbeknown to the wife, Scholast is a fortune hunter and soon poisons the husband and marries the wife.

In order to save lovely Lorraine from a gang of claim jumpers Art teams with his wonder dog and horse.

Wonder dog and horse belong to Pattie, the "wild girl" of the title, who rejects a proposal from uncouth mountaineer Lige Blew in favor of romancing handsome photographer Billy Woodruff. Taking umbrage to the girl's decision, Lige frames Pattie's granddad for murder.

The dog, Rex, finds the baby abandoned in the mountains. Unfortunately, the nearest town has no orphanage and rough cowboy and wonder-dog owner Bruce is forced to care for the infant himself.
