The story is set in the Sengoku period. A rounin called Nanashi saves a young boy Kotarou at an abandoned temple. Kotarou has no family, is pursued by a mysterious militia organization from China and hires Nanashi as his bodyguard.

A young man reflects on the moments he could not share with his father, by getting lost in the constant rush of life, as he spends some time in an old countryside cottage. Within the worn wooden walls, he passes through faded memories, missed gatherings, unspoken words, recalling a distance that was never bridged in their past due to constant procrastination. Alone with his thoughts, he comes to a painful realization: it’s too late to rewrite their story.

A student appears to be showing her best side, trying not to reveal what's going on underneath her mind. In the end, she runs to a place where the only person she faces is herself. She makes a final decision, all by herself, and everything remains the same.

A fine day in the life of a fly presented completely from the fly's point of view. A fine day until something dreary happens, that is.
