Matt, a young glaciologist, soars across the vast, silent, icebound immensities of the South Pole as he recalls his love affair with Lisa. Together, over a period of several months, they pursue a mutual sexual passion whose inevitable stages unfold in counterpoint to nine live-concert songs.

When a masked supervillain named Spotlight and his twisted father, Gary Mayor, form the Spotlight Seven to terrorize Los Angeles, Michael must rise beyond his insecurities to stop them. Along the way, he gains unlikely allies: Brad, his witty and stoic bodyguard; Samantha Carpenter, his love interest; and Goku, a misguided martial arts master. Together, they face trials, betrayals, and epic musical showdowns. The journey culminates in a spectacular showdown against the Spotlight Seven, forcing Michael to prove that being a true star isn’t about the spotlight—it’s about the joy you bring to others.

Frank Zappa's May 17, 1988 concert performance was captured and broadcast by Televisión Española. None of the song performances would make it onto albums showcasing this iteration of Zappa's band, his last touring rock group. The broadcast itself would not be used by Zappa either, as the television station presented him with a faulty VHS instead of the master tape. This concert video lives on only as a bootleg.
