Overview

A Gift from Bob (or A Christmas Gift from Bob) is a festive drama and a sequel to beloved the beloved 2016 movie, A Street Cat Named Bob, which showed how animals could change the course of our lives and leave their pawprints on our heart.

The life of James Bowen (Luke Treadaway), a former drug addict, has changed forever since he met Bob, his loyal ginger cat friend. The two developed a unique bond that eventually made them famous, allowing James to build a new, happier life without busking on the streets and making ends meet.

The new movie A Christmas Gift from Bob begins right there, in James’ new life, as he attends fancy parties and book signings, and agents ask him to write another book. Set during the Christmas holidays, the movie warmly reminds us about the importance of having a purpose and community.

Before meeting Bob, James did not like Christmas, but the ginger fluffy cat changed everything. He literally gave his owner a new life, creating a real Christmas miracle. A Christmas Gift from Bob will tell the viewers about the last Christmas that Bob and his owner James spent begging on the street, and how the cat helped him get through difficult times and get into the real spirit of the holiday.

It was Bob who James was drawing strength and inspiration from during the cold December on the street to get through hard times.

The story of James gives people second chances. It celebrates the spirit of community and assures us that good deeds will be rewarded in the end, making good people thrive. It also shows how a stray cat helped a man to discover the true meaning of Christmas. Even though the story touches on such topics as poverty and homelessness, it is told in such a touching way that the whole family can enjoy it.

I didn't understand the film at all, a ginger cat, a loser kid, an incomprehensible actress, some animal protection! Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense!

Like a fairy tale. Not impressed.
