Johan wants to see what it takes to become a myth. So he follows in the footsteps of Eik Skaløe, the lead singer of Steppeulvene, who committed suicide in India in 1968. And he would like to do so all the way. Luxury-loving Mikkel is not so wild about Johan's wild life experiments, but nonetheless joins him on the trip, which takes the two Danes across a magical, wild and unpredictable India. A crazy trip, reserved for those who are out of their minds.

If you weren't there to experience the Blitz and its aftermath, then this is probably as close as you would like to get. The German V1 rocket seen flying overhead places this film in the last 12 months of the war, and the citizens of Southwark appear well-practiced in picking up the pieces of their decimated neighbourhood. By the end of the film the worst is over, as the Royal family are driven through crowd-lined streets and kids enjoy a victory party.

Where is Greenland located? What does the country actually look like? Who lives there? What is life like there? The film seeks to answer these and similar questions by depicting life and nature around Greenland today, in the developing towns of the west coast, the less developed settlements of the east coast and the large Thule base in the far north. The film was intended to help placing and defining Greenland on the world map and in the minds of foreigners and Danes alike.

Shine So Hard is an abstract and fragmentary (*) short film made in 1981, As the post-punk band Echo and the Bunnymen had concluded the tour promoting their debut album “Crocodiles”, Bill Drummond, their manager, hatched a plan for a one-off gig on 17th January 1981. It was to be a special event, a mystery show. The venue, at first a secret location was, in fact, the Victorian concert hall at the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton, a quiet spa town in Derbyshire’s picturesque Peak District. “Shine So Hard” documents the event, what Ian Pye of the Melody Maker described as ‘A Coppola inspired vision of Armageddon’. The film was released on the 13th of August 1981. It was premiered at London’s ICA and screened for two weeks there and elsewhere in the UK. (*) The book drummer Pete de Freitas is reading, is Salinger’s “Catcher in the Rye”.

The voice of a forgotten section of the population, a protest against the ruling elite, were the building blocks of Halme's popularity. Halme's great popularity has served as a good example of a populist figure, admired within the deep ranks of the nation, who comes from outside the political elite and changes the direction of politics. Also, despite - or perhaps because of - his openly racist statements, he was part of changing the political climate in Finland to a more acrimonious one.
