Lori, a Syrian-Armenian girl living in Armenia, believes her father is taking her on a summer trip. When she learns that her family is really leaving Armenia after already fleeing the war in Syria, she tries whatever she can to stay in a place that has great meaning for her.

"The Photograp"h takes a glimpse into the lives of all refugees who are forced to leave their country, from the point of view of the last moment they were together and happy. In doing so, the director who does not use any dialogues and thus does not offer any description, reveals his discourse on a global basis.

During a random check the commander of a Czech Customs Unit discovers a group of immigrants in a van’s cargo area. The chaotic incident is taken advantage of by an underage boy who flees into the surrounding forests. The order is to keep the group in makeshift space and to find the boy. But the boy’s father refuses to co-operate with the search and the unit’s members start being aggressive towards the detained men. The commander tries to deal with the ensuing situation according to the rules but slowly he becomes undecided whether to follow orders or his own conscience. A night which shakes his faith in the system he represents.

The great Serbian migration topic is given through the military campaign of major Vuk Isakovic (Avtandil Makharadze) at the head of Slavonian-Danube regiment, from spring of 1744. to spring of the next year. The second topic follows tragic but passionate relationship between Vuk's younger brother and his wife, which ends with her long-lasting disease and death.

On a ferry travelling towards Lampedusa, we find a teenager on his first day of work as a gravedigger and a boy on his first mission as a diver. They do not know each other, but when they will set foot on the island, both their lives will change forever: one has to retrieve the bodies of drowned shipwreck victims, the other one has to bury them. A sort of dance between life and death, innocence and its loss.

The guilt of moving abroad in the first place. Being the first generation to do this in your family. The constant self-reassurance that you aren’t doing anything wrong but still having no idea how to navigate all this. Re-birth. Alienation. Growth. Guilt. Renewal. Envy.
