The birth of the atomic bomb changed the world forever. In the years before the Manhattan project, a weapon of such power was not even remotely imaginable to most people on earth. And yet, with war comes new inventions. New ways of destroying the enemy. New machines to wipe out human life. The advent of nuclear weapons not only brought an end to the largest conflict in history, but also ushered in an atomic age and a defining era of "big science". However, with the world now gripped by nuclear weapons, we exist constantly on the edge of mankind's total destruction.

An investigation of Canada's clandestine involvement in the Manhattan Project, from Gilbert LaBine's 1930 discovery of a rare radium deposit in the Northwest Territories to today's ongoing 2.6 billion dollar nuclear waste clean-up project in Port Hope, Ontario. Expert interviews, first hand testimonies, and generational accounts present a nuanced and thought-provoking examination of how these hidden histories have impacted the Indigenous Dene people of the Northwest Territories, Port Hope residents, and other communities worldwide.

"Boneca de Ataúro: Searching for the Lost Love" is an animated short film (20mins), in which the main character-a handmade rag doll called Ataurina-while looking for her lost boyfriend Ketilu, takes us into an adventurous trip across the island of Atauro. Throughout the journey, Ataurina encounters several dangers and meets other characters, all handmade puppets born from the same hands at the "Boneca de Atauro" (Atauro's Doll), the renown cooperative of 60+ women based in the coastal village of Vila Maumeta, in the beautiful Atauro island (Timor-Leste).

When desire is stronger than physical strength, and the consequences are immeasurable, we are left with a radical journey of an elderly person who wants to skate in order to feel alive again.

Paper sample books discarded and dumpstered by long-gone businesses undergo a series of sequential experiments in pattern, rhythm, colour and text(ure). A call and response of flickering and lingering, this catalogue of catalogues remembers a tactile economy.
