t's the award-winning "Austin City Limits" television show -- remixed, remastered and reedited from the full original concerts that were adapted for the half-hour TV show. But apart from that, Angel Bat Dawid is able to breathe a highly spiritual dimension into her music like no other, so that her jazz almost borders on gospel. Listening to the multi-instrumentalist therefore sometimes has something of a transcendental experience, at times reminiscent of the music of Sun Ra. Classic rockers Manfred Mann's Earth Band delivers the goods in this live concert filmed in Moscow in 2000, featuring many of the group's hits such as "The Mighty Quinn," "Blinded by the Light" and "Father of Day, Father of Night." Mann and company prove they still have the chops on other tunes, including "Angels at My Gate," "Davy's on the Road Again," "Demolition Man," "Castles Burning," "Martha's Madman," "Redemption Song" and more.

Experience a truly memorable musical event as Broadway legend Barbara Cook, known for her starring roles in "The Music Man" and "She Loves Me," performs songs written and enjoyed by renowned composer Stephen Sondheim. In addition to singing Sondheim classics like "Everybody Says Don't" and "Send in the Clowns," Cook pays tribute to tunes Sondheim wished he had written, such as "I Got Lost in His Arms" and "The Trolley Song."

The original buxom quartet of female singers, Lisa, Maev, Orla, and Chloe, have duly been joined by Hayley and are, as usual, backed by a full symphony orchestra and choir, plus enough traditional instruments (the house fiddler, Mairead, is a powerhouse) to keep things legit. The material ranges from folkloric, to a standard from another Celtic nation, to classical lite, to movie hits, to homegrown New Age.
