When the Tanana River bridge was installed in Salcha, Alaska, the community worried about the levee's effects on fish wildlife. Salcha Elementary School, along with the help of Tanana Valley Watershed Association, conducted a 10-year scientific project with students to study the effects the levee had on Piledriver Slough. Tori Brannan - the filmmaker's mother - is a retired principal at Salcha Elementary and was the project's centerpiece. THE CRY OF THE SUQUÍA RIVER is a documentary that runs through the Suquía River, a river that is part of the identity of the city of córdoba, in argentina. We decided to embark on a boat trip crossing a 32 km path that allows us at each stop, to connect with life experiences on various socio-environmental realities.

The ferry crosses the river, transporting people from one shore to the other, from one country to another. It runs year round, never stopping. The footage was filmed on the Latvian-Belarussian border in the early 1990s - a time when the Soviet Union began to crumble and Latvia regained its independence.
