George Wang

Biography

George Wang (born Wang Yie, 12 November 1918 – 27 March 2015) was a Taiwanese actor and producer who appeared in a multitude of Italian films. Born in Dandong, Liaoning, Wang enrolled the Shanghai drama school China Film Studio in 1938 and the following year he made his film debut in Defending Our Homeland (保家鄉). In 1949, Wang moved to Taiwan, becoming one of the most important stars in the early years of Taiwanese cinema. At the end of the 1950s he moved to Italy, where he was a very active character actor in genre films, mainly spy films, adventure films and Spaghetti Westerns, being mostly cast in roles of villains. Thanks to his good knowledge of English, he was also active in a number of English language productions, notably appearing in Nicholas Ray's 55 Days at Peking. In 1976 Wang moved to Hong Kong, where with his son Don he founded the film production company "Wang Film Company". In 1978 he returned to Taiwan and back to acting, winning in 1981 a Golden Horse Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in The Coldest Winter in Peking (皇天后土). Fehd Benchemsi

Biography

Fehd Benchemsi, Morocco's top movie star, is at the vanguard of the Arab Actors new wave. He recently starred in Hulu's acclaimed series The Looming Tower (2018) alongside international movie stars Jeff Daniels and Tahar Rahim. In 2017, he appeared in Yellow Birds (from director Alexander Moors), alongside Boardwalk Empire star Jack Huston. Benchemsi played and appeared with Bradley Cooper in Clint Eastwood's acclaimed blockbuster American Sniper (2015), as well as with Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman in Queen Of The Desert (Werner Herzog, 2015). William Marlowe

Biography

William Marlowe (25 July 1930 – 31 January 2003) was a British theatre, television and film actor. He served in the Fleet Air Arm and hoped for a career as a writer before training as an actor at RADA. He was cast as Sir Guy of Gisbourne in The Legend of Robin Hood (1975), A Family at War (1970–72), DCI Bill Russell in The Gentle Touch (1980–84), and Harry Mailer in the Doctor Who serial The Mind of Evil (1971). He reappeared in Doctor Who four years later as Lester in Revenge of the Cybermen (1975). His guest star roles include Barlow (1975), Breakaway (1980), Callan (1972) and Catch Hand (1964). Later he played Chief Supt. Thomas in The Chief (1990). He was married to actress Catherine Schell from 1968–1977, and to Kismet Delgado, the widow of actor Roger Delgado from 1979-2003. Many books falsely claim that he was married to actress Fernanda Marlowe.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Debora Caprioglio (born 3 May 1968) is an Italian actress. Internationally, she is best known for playing the title character in the 1991 film Paprika by Tinto Brass and a relationship with Klaus Kinski from 1987–1989. Harry 'Buster' Merryfield was a British actor best known for his role as Uncle Albert in the long running hit BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses; a role he played from 1985 to 1996. Merryfield took up acting professionally late in life, following his retirement as a bank manager in 1978. His stage name of Buster stemmed from childhood; given to him by his grandfather, as he weighed nine pounds at birth, and it stuck throughout his entire life, not least because he refused to divulge his real name to anyone during his lifetime and it only became open knowledge after his death of a brain tumour in 1999.

Thunska Pansittivorakul was born in Bangkok in 1973. He graduated in Art Education from Chulalongkorn University. He won the Grand Prize award at The 4th Taiwan International Documentary Festival in 2004 for 'Happy Berry' and his 'Santikhiri Sonata' won City of Lisbon Award for the best International Competition film at DocListboa, Portugal in 2019. His 'Heartbreak Pavilion' project won the Top Award from Pusan Promotion Plan (PPP) at The 10th Pusan International Film Festival in 2005. In 2007 he received the Silpatorn Award from The Ministry of Culture's Office of Contemporary Arts, which is awarded to one outstanding artist each year. Morgan Lofting is an American voice actress and writer. She is best known for playing the Baroness in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. Lofting has also been featured in series such as The Transformers, and Spider-Man (as the Black Cat). She played the characters Princess Invidia on Star Blazers, and Fistina on Ben 10: Omniverse, and provided additional vocal work in the Arnold Schwarzenegger film Total Recall. Morgan Lofting was one of the few actors to move from the Sunbow Joe series to the DIC Joe series; she joined Chris Latta (Cobra Commander, 1st season only), Sgt. Slaughter, Jerry Houser (Sci-Fi) and Ed Gilbert (General Hawk, 1st season only) in doing so.

Charles “Charlie” Chaplin (16 April 1889 – 25 December 1977) was an English comic actor, film director and composer best-known for his work during the silent film era. He used mime, slapstick and other visual comedy routines, and continued well into the era of the talkies, though his films decreased in frequency by the end of the 1920s. His most famous role was that of The Tramp, which he first played in Kid Auto Races (1914). From 1914 onwards he was writing and directing most of his films, by 1916 he was producing them, and by 1918 he was also composing the music for them. In 1919 he co-founded United Artists. In 1999, the American Film Institute ranked Chaplin the 10th greatest male screen legend of all time.

​Lubor tokoš byl český divadelní, filmový a televizní herec, spolupracoval také s rozhlasem. Věnoval se i malířství a psaní knih. Do podvědomí diváků se dostává zejména díky svému charakteristickému hlasu. V mládí vytvořil nezapomenutelnou hlavní roli Simona Harta ve filmu VYNÁLEZ ZKÁZY režiséra Karla Zemana. Než přešel k divadlu, studoval vojenské gymnázium. Nejprve však v divadle pracoval jako nápověda. Během svého života prošel divadly v Hodoníně, Brně, Uherském Hradišti, Ostravě, Praze, Olomouci a Zlíně. Divadlo definitivně opustil roku 1985. V rozhlase natočil více než tisíc programů a čítával pro nevidomé v pražském studiu Karla Emanuela Macana. Ve filmu vytvořil desítky rolí. Za zmínku z filmů stojí např. SMRT KRÁSNÝCH SRNCŮ (1986), O PRINCEZNĚ JASNĚNCE A LÉTAJÍCÍM ŠEVCI (1987) či GOLET V ÚDOLÍ (1995). Roku 2002 obdržel cenu Thálie za celoživotní dílo.
