Ruben has been living in the tourist centre of Paris for several years. He's never managed to make a niche for himself. Instead, he has been living in his little hideaway. August, Ruben is suffocating, and is forced to resurface.

Diane has stopped counting the years that fly by. Now, isolated, she kills time fishing, watching the days pass and repeat themselves despite the hustle and bustle of the 2024 Olympics project. On the eve of a planned departure, Diane lingers on the quays of Austerlitz, looking for catfish, before heading to the bridge of the ship. The Bridge of the Ship concludes a summer trilogy in the capital filmed over three summers.

While he is speaking on the phone with a member of his staff, Filippo has a severe headache and faints. As soon as he regains consciousness, he calls his friend Pippo for help and asks him to invite the group of old friends to join, too. Little by little the four friends remind him of happy moments shared in the past and Filippo gradually manages to remember with their help….But something unhappy comes back to their mind….

Three guests in a luxury hotel. The highly respected managing director of a computer company, an actor and womanizer and finally a bespectacled murderer who has calculated that a hotel room is the perfect setting for the murder of his victim, a Chinese politician passing through. As luck would have it, the three men swap rooms. As a result, the call girl, who is actually expected by the actor, ends up with the murderer, the respected businesswoman expected by the manager goes to the womanizer and the businessman's real wife, who (unexpectedly) turns up to accompany her husband, suddenly finds herself in the same room as the call girl and the murderer. Events come thick and fast and the murderer, whose glasses have been broken in the confusion, is unable to carry out his murder.

Two journalists marry but the husband grows unhappy when he is left to take care of their child and she focuses on her career.

Shinohara, a young bodybuilder, joins a para-military sect in northern Japan. His instructor, Takizawa, takes a liking to the new recruit. After an early “special” training session the two develop a lasting and loving relationship.

Jil has found great love in the landscape architect Marc. There is only a tiny problem: Marc is not a Jew, and Jil's devout Jewish family would never accept marrying a "goi," a non-Jew. There is only one thing that helps: Marc, son of a German bourgeois family, must pretend that he is also a Jew. After a quick course in terms of traditions and customs, this also seems to work quite well. Jil's family is thrilled with the new friend. But then the dizziness flies up just during a big bar mitzvah celebration - and Jil has to decide.

Newspaper reporter Tim Rourke keeps writing articles that attack the police department for its failure to solve a chain of murders, which nearly leads to the reporter's death. He calls in private detective Michael Shayne, who turns up a blonde and a blackmailer.

Primitive, cowardly, greedy and fame seeking father Ubu, persuaded by his wife, mother Ubu, kills the honorable king Wenceslas and his family. This makes Ubu king of Poland. In the beginning he is popular and showers his subjects with gold coins. But, later on he brings on himself peoples rage when he decides to kill all the noblemen and officials and introduces unreasonable taxes. Russian czar Aleksey starts a military campaign against the bloody despot Ibi. After a defeat, Ubu and his wife escape to France.

A young man just released from the army is making great dreams for his life. Finally he gets a job in a butcher's shop and gains the confidence of the owner. After the butcher's death he falls in love with his daughter but also has an affair with the widow and cannot decide between them

In ancient Rome, bathhouse architect Lucius (Hiroshi Abe) becomes famous with designing the original "thermae" (bathhouse). He receives an order to build a thermae in the colosseum to help gladiators recover from their wounds, but faces difficulties. Thus, Lucius travels again to modern day Japan through the time slip. He meets Manami (Aya Ueto) again, who is now a reporter for a magazine which covers bathroom. With the help of the flat face Japanese tribe, Lucius again designs a new thermae. Meanwhile, Emperor Hadrian (Masachika Ichimura) wants to keep the peace with the thermae, but the Senate wants to extend the land by using force. Emperor Hadrian and the Senate now have a confrontation and Rome becomes divided.

In this off-beat musical – a satire that combines fantasy, social observation and songs – a working class man goes to put a deposit on a new house only to find he prefers spending to saving and is happy to spend his money on a few hours of happiness rather than a lifetime's conventionality.
