The movie begins with an extraterrestrial humanoid species, the Glegoliths, wandering through space in search of a new world. Vielfach lagen die jetzt überfluteten Höhlensysteme noch vor wenigen tausend Jahren oberhalb des Meeresspiegels, und so haben sich hier auch die Überreste zahlreicher Tiere und sogar von Menschen erhalten.
