An experimental short film, shot during the COVID-19 pandemic, made by one person. Using recorded scenes and archival footage, the short presents an unorthodox narrative to explore the themes of self-identification, identity, gender expression and androgyny.

Set in a Tuscan eden, Rocca Dell’s short film “Calcio” develops a contemporary digital mythology by setting four “calcianti” – players of Florence’s historic form of football, the Calcio Storico Fiorentino – against the rich and harmonious landscapes of Tuscany, while expanding both space and time in order to convey the artist’s very personal dreamscape: a hybrid of the natural world, or rather a synthetic, artificial interpretation of it.

Mystery-crime short.

Bruce the gritter unwittingly makes an enemy as he carries out his job, clearing the roads of snow.

Ivanna finds herself dazed, confused, and with no recent memory in the middle of the road. Along the way, she encounters a mysterious and menacing-looking man who offers to give her a ride. As she starts regaining her memory during the journey, the tension builds and the suspicion grows that this man could be both the answer to all her questions and her downfall.

A woman is stuck in an attic but she soon finds she is not alone.

A chase story

The film applies an unconventional narrative. It presents a subjective world through 47 scenes. The small events, interlaced by associations, express the irrational coherence of our surroundings. The surreal situations are based on the interactions of humans and nature.

A woman returning home falls asleep and has vivid dreams that may or may not be happening in reality. Through repetitive images and complete mismatching of the objective view of time and space, her dark inner desires play out on-screen.

Diane the Zebra Woman follows four women’s misadventures through the streets of New York City in 1962. All played by Flame Schon, the characters consist of The Detective, The Mother, The Child, and the Medium. Evocative of the scene from which it emerged, the film features cameos from integral figures like William Levy, Jonas Mekas, Paul Morrissey and features an original score composed by Malcolm Goldstein.
