After the demise of warlord Nobunaga ODA, Japan was about to be unified by Hideyoshi TOYOTOMI. However, there was one man in Kanto region that was defiant to it. That man, who named himself TenmaOh (Mirai MORIYAMA) and leads the KANTO DOKURO-TO, an armed group hiding in the pitch-black DOKURO-JO (skull castle), once worked for NOBUNAGA. Sutenosuke (Shun OGURI) happens to rescue a woman who has been chased by the KANTO DOKURO-TO, which was headed by the bloodthirsty madman TenmaOh.

The last play by Austrian playwright Werner Schwab is a shocking drama full of pain and abuse. The story of Antiklimax can be easily reconstructed. It can also be perceived as one of those occasional sad news stories: in a socially disadvantaged family, a daughter who had been abused by her father for years killed her parents and then herself. After such an event, people ponder for a while what life was like in such a family. Why did no one report the abuse? What was the mother doing? It is a topic on the fringes of our social consciousness, which we effectively suppress. And when we want to indulge in a little unease, we reach for the tabloids, which put it right before our eyes. Little Marjánka is threatened by electrical appliances, brass band music, and family upbringing. As if madness were the last of man's pleasures.

Akira, who runs marriage scams, is chased after by Army Surgeon Hanaoka and his colleagues, who are collecting “things that will disappear in the 20th century” by Imperial edict. He is soon caught but becomes invisible man in an accident. However, he is visible to one person: Kera. The story of the play Tomei Ningen no Yuge (The Kiss of an Invisible Man) is overflowing with diverse motifs, including “Romeo and Juliet,” “The Miracle Worker,” the mythological world in the age of the gods, the River Styx and Hades. It develops further to cover World War II and the Imperial system, and together with skillful language play, a theatrical world unfolds in all directions.

An aging actor remembers his past stage triumphs and contemplates a dim future on the stage of an empty theatre. The film was nominated for an Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film.
