When Rudy, an artifacts smuggler, goes to Jerusalem to rescue his kidnapped archeologist father, he faces deportation by a scheming police chief. Deputy Sheriff Lou Ford is a pillar of the community in his small west Texas town, patient and apparently thoughtful.
