A nerd is harassed by punks, and is the object of ridicule at work. Enamoured by a co-worker, he buys a tape series on how to be cool, summons up his nerve, and goes to the co-worker's house, only to find her in the clutches of another co-worker. Dejected, he goes out on the town and parties with some babes, but when their friends, who turn out to be the same punks that harassed him earlier, trash him again something snaps, and the irritants in his life begin experiencing an attrition problem.

Twelve-year-old Mathieu is haunted by the death of his father, who died accidentally when he was two. On each anniversary of his death, the young boy becomes withdrawn and unusually taciturn. This attitude worries his grandmother, but not his mother, Agathe, a general practitioner, who prefers not to overreact. Things get complicated when Mathieu, fascinated by his history teacher's tales of cursed kings, decides to create his own family tree and convinces himself he is the descendant of a family of men who die young.

But the unscrupulous villain has not reckoned with Carlo's shrewdness, who initially falls under suspicion himself, but then takes up the pursuit of the criminal.

The Silence of Paradox

Vera is a girl with a tragic fate, grew up without parents, ran away from foster homes and, eventually, got involved with crime. She has become an extra-class thief and in tandem with a hacker whom she has never seen, she turns complicated and dangerous cases, earning a lot of money. All her life, Vera has been unsuccessfully searching for her father, who disappeared in the noughties. Already desperate to find at least some clues, Vera stumbles upon the trail of her dad in one of the next robberies and finds out the terrible details of his biography. Fascinated by the investigation, she does not suspect that at this time the hunt began for her.

The plot is based on two parallel events, with detective Steve Carella at the center.
