There is a brief moment within our mind that allows us to pause reality.

Due to his impoverished upbringing Nishihata Tamotsu is unable to read or write. Fortunately he is supported by his beloved wife Kyouko who helps him with the things he cannot do alone. As thanks for her support Tamotsu wishes to write her a love letter, and so decides to enroll at a local evening school in order to finally learn to write.

The film depicts the struggle of brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for their homeland, their love, and everything they held dear during the 1939 Khalkh Gol War.

The story of three young men during the siege who were looking for an apartment that had survived the bombing, but found each other for life. Marat and Lika (she loved the proud Marat, but married Leonidik, who had lost his arm at the front) fled from their own happiness and are now painfully returning to it, learning to be happy again with such difficulty, as if learning to walk again. And Leonidik, for whom the burden of his love has become unbearable, unbearable, is learning to be free again with the same difficulty.

Shmaya (Shuli Rand), a small-time magician whose career consists of gigs at local venues in the north of Israel, meets Oshra (Ronit Elkabetz) at one of his shows, who possesses genuine mystical powers. One of the passengers on a ship carrying Poles on a cruise in December 1981 is a dissident high school teacher sent abroad by Solidarity. He is under surveillance of the secret police, anxious to get their hands on the info that he is carrying. When the ship is in the middle of the Baltic sea, martial law is declared and the ship is militarized. The captain announces he will turn and return the home port.
