Peterkin, a mischievous elf with mixed body parts, decides to see what would happen if he switched the eggs in the tree-maternity nests. What happens is that there are many surprised mothers, and just as many indignant fathers, when the eggs hatch and each family gets a hatching that resembles neither parent. All fly the, figuratively-speaking, coop and Peterkin is left to tend to all the young birds.

Santa Claus gets a telegram from Oswald the Rabbit, telling him the city is ready for his Toyland Parade and that there will be a reception in the big department store. Santa is a jolly elf indeed until he discovers that moths have eaten every last shred of his Santa suit. The day is saved when quick thinking on the part of an old elf, armed with red paint and popcorn, turns Santa's ordinary light-blue outfit into a real Santa suit. The parade is a big success, and the reception promises to be even better. Frankenstein's monster, Tarzan, Lupe Velez, Shirley Temple, Al Jolson and Bing Crosby are all there to greet Santa. Laurel and Hardy nearly spoil the day when they dress in a dragon's costume and try to steal the chocolate cake.

Mire bala kale hin, (which means the girl with the long black hair in Romanes) was the first TV programme ever produced as a childrens program about the Roma minority in Czech Republic. It is a co-production between Finnish/ Czech/Netherlands television. The story is about a Roma girl, who is told Roma stories, legends, dreams, fairy-tales and true stories. Beside the Czech and Finnish also an english version had been produced.

Somewhere in Europe by a great sea stands a small village, where inventing all manner of domestic gadgets is held in great esteem. David Kinsella, funded by the Norwegian Film Institute, arrived in North Korea ready to make a documentary about a young poet at the invitation of the North Korean government, but filming hadn’t gotten very far when Kinsella realized that everything he was filming was fiction not fact, even the young poet. Each day the government brought in extras and staged every scene too essentially create a propaganda film for the country. Not to be deterred Kinsella took the manipulation of his work in stride and started to capture large expanses of industrial areas to alter later with animation and create an amazing film.
