Chiara feels that there is something wrong. She has a strange feeling she cannot explain to her mother or sister. During the night, after overhearing a heated argument between her parents and witnessing something shocking, her world is overturned and her safety net crumbles. Reality and dreams start to blur and Chiara’s life will never be the same.

Le Lit

An animation about a disabled penguin who lives on a rocky island in the southern seas where she feels isolated from the rest of her colony. She is inventive, resourceful and tough but frustrated about what she cannot do.

Shot over the course of six weeks on 16mm film by Greek cinematographer, Thimios Bakatakis (The Lobster and The Killing of a Sacred Deer), the new rag & bone Films short coincides with the launch of the rag & bone Fall 2018 collection. The film was shot in New York and Los Angeles and features Kate Mara, Boyd Holbrook, Pom Klementieff, Lakeith Stanfield, Reed Morano, Lake Bell, Jon Hamm and Emma Roberts. To capture the spirit of cinema verité, each character was shot by Bakatakis through a handheld approach and using available lighting.

A white man traveling in a foreign country enters an elevator and meets a middle-east woman in niqab. The man estranged by the presence of the niqab in a closed space observes the woman with curious eyes. The elevator stops all of a sudden and there is no sign of help. The man offers water and the woman in a niqab drinks a sip disclosing her face behind the niqab. After a while, another crash of the elevator makes the mirror break and the man is badly cut by the broken mirror. The woman unties her niqab decidedly to help the man stop bleeding. At the very moment come the people to rescue the two.

The film covers his journey home from a super successful day at the office where he's all but closed the biggest deal of his life. Just a couple of mobile phone calls on the way home and it's in the bag. However, as he races back to celebrate with his wife and kids, we witness his fall from apparent certain victory to increasing infuriation - everyone's suddenly stopped taking his calls. His anger and desperation boils over when he can't get anyone on the phone....not his secretary, his investors, or his wife. All the while, the Zombie Apocalypse is happening around him; he's just too self absorbed to notice it... until he gets home.
