An orphaned brontosaurus named Littlefoot sets off in search of the legendary Great Valley. A land of lush vegetation where the dinosaurs can thrive and live in peace. Along the way he meets four other young dinosaurs, each one a different species, and they encounter several obstacles as they learn to work together in order to survive.

A plague of locusts strikes the Great Valley, decimating the plants and forcing the dinosaurs to migrate in search of food. When the adults in the herd begin fighting over the scarce resources, young Littlefoot and his friends Petrie, Cera, Ducky and Spike split off from the main group, becoming stranded on an island after their path was destroyed by a tsunami. As they search for a way off the island, they encounter an old acquaintance who may become friend or foe.

During a snowball fight between Bo, a pink armless dinosaur, and his friend, Green Guy, Bo comes to a saddening realization - he cannot throw snowballs. This heartwarming tale explores Bo's journey of self-acceptance and learning that even without arms you can live a full life.

Littlefoot and his friends find life in the Great Valley a bit too restrictive under the watchful eyes of their overprotective parents. Wishing to not be treated like babies anymore, the group chase after a pair of dangerous dinosaurs stealing an egg from Ducky's nest. When the egg they bring back hatches in the valley, the friends are surprised to find a baby Sharptooth. Rather than abandoning him, they name him Chomper and attempt to raise him as one of their own.

A bedtime story leads Littlefoot and his grandparents on a journey to a new land, where Littlefoot discovers someone who vanished before he was born: his father! Now Littlefoot must decide between two worlds. Will he leave to be with his friends in the Great Valley, or stay behind and start a new life with his father?

Littlefoot and his friends return in another adventure. But this time, they aren't the smallest dinosaurs in the valley anymore.

With methods of eating and manners that are probably all too familiar to children and adults, these mischievous dinosaurs show in a big way that burping, spilling, playing with one's food and outright refusing to eat are not the best ways to enjoy a meal. An entertaining guide to table manners and a good reminder that positive and pleasant mealtime behavior gets the best results.

Littlefoot’s grandfather falls gravely ill, and the only hope for his recovery is the "Golden Night Flower" found in the treacherous Land of the Mists. A huge meteorite has plunged into the Great Valley, cutting off the water supply and causing tension among the once-peaceful dinosaurs. While the adults argue and turn against one another, Littlefoot and his friends venture out to find a new source of water, only to be constantly bullied by a trio of older dinosaurs. The journey becomes a fight for survival when the group is cornered by a pack of Velociraptors and trapped by a sudden wildfire.

Littlefoot befriends with a mysterious, fun-loving dolphin-like creature named Mo, who is trapped in "new water" caused by heavy rain. The gang then goes on an adventure to the "big water" to bring Mo home.

A dinosaur egg turns up in Schmuddelfing and an incredibly cute baby dinosaur hatches out. The Olchis and their friends now see it as their responsibility to protect the baby from curious explorers and treasure hunters. With the help of a mysterious time machine, they embark on an action-packed adventure to bring the baby dinosaur safely back to its own time and find its parents.
