Five college friends who have reunited for the wedding of two in the group are surprised by the unexpected arrival of a long-lost friend.

Outwitted by his female relatives, Hirayama stubbornly refuses to admit defeat.

A career criminal, Ah Sang, engineers a bank robbery to be carried out by a gang of recruited hoodlums led by himself. It takes only three minutes to complete the robbery of seven million dollars. A special police unit is then formed to investigate the case, and the chief inspector suspects Sang, and begins keeping him under surveillance. In order to stay undetected, each member is specifically ordered to not spend their share of the one million HKD from the heist for six months.

The cast, in accordance with Marcel Bluwal's wishes, is in keeping with the age and character of the characters, to give it rhythm. At once "a comic baroque play, a bourgeois drama, a chansonnier's number, a social satire, a farce and a very pretty love story" according to Marcel Bluwal, it can also be summed up, according to Beaumarchais, as "the most bantering of intrigues".
