Reviews
As weird Al's songs were parodies... this appears to be a parody of his life. From what I've read about him, nothing in this is even remotely true.
To be honest, I didn't even find it enjoyable.
I was kinda glad when it finished.
“Weird: Al Yankovic story” was a movie I recently watched, and to be frank, it was quite ridiculous. I found it to be foolish from start to finish with nothing appealing about it. I was uninterested throughout and found it to be rather cheesy.
Initially, I expected to see a historical account of Al Yankovic's life, a sort of biography revealing the truth behind the artist. However, as the film progressed and introduced bizarre characters and wild party scenes, I began to question its credibility.
Then, the portrayal of Madonna as a drug addict who used Al Yankovic for his pies, leading to a series of events involving murder and his own demise, completely threw me off. This unrealistic ending clashed with the fact that Al Yankovic is very much alive at 64 years old, having won multiple Grammys since. It left me confused about the movie's intended genre and purpose, ultimately making the entire experience seem nonsensical.
