A soldier abandoned by the government exists trapped inside of a dilapidated apartment. The only thing keeping him company is a radio, and a dead body.

Mykola is an eccentric pacifist who wants to be useful to humanity. When the war begins at Donbass, Mykola’s naive world is collapsing as the militants kill his pregnant wife and burn his home to the ground. Recovered, he makes a cardinal decision and gets enlisted in a sniper company. Having met his wife’s killers, he emotionally breaks down and arranges “sniper terror” for the enemy. He’s saved from a senseless death by his instructor who himself gets mortally wounded. The death of a friend leaves a “scar” and Mykola is ready to sacrifice his life.

Building on Forensic Architecture’s previous investigation into herbicidal warfare and its effects on Palestinian farmers along the eastern perimeter of the occupied Gaza Strip, this investigation marks Land Day in Palestine by examining the systematic targeting of orchards and greenhouses by Israeli forces since October 2023. A shell-shocked photojournalist, haunted by what he has witnessed on assignment in Africa, returns home on the eve of becoming a father. When one of his photographs threatens to destroy a Sudanese refugee's new life, the two men are reunited by nightmare events from the past.

Because they were considered disobedient to the Japanese Government, four Japanese officers came to the Sukamanah Islamic Boarding School to force KH Zainal Mustafa to be taken to Tasikmalaya. Hundreds of students stood in front of the Sukamanah Islamic Boarding School armed with bamboo swords. All four Japanese officers were killed. In response the Japanese Government sent troops in greater numbers. Many Santri died as martyrs in the battle known as the bloody Sukamanah incident. The incident occurred on February 25, 1944.

A haunted woman named Ida journeys from Germany to Jordan, to an eerie and deserted port town on the Red Sea where her partner, Ismail, recently disappeared. Wandering through desolate bars, hotels, and offices, Ida attempts to feel Ismail’s presence one last time and to say goodbye.

After a dangerous sea crossing and a stay in a camp in Malaysia, the young Vietnamese Tinh and her family are accepted as refugees in Canada and arrive in Montreal where they begin their new life. But for Tinh, adapting has its share of difficulties.
