Every day is boring and the same to Amy, even her birthday. All the evidence her family puts forth that each day is different she rebuts with well-thought out responses of sameness. She is supposed to visit her Aunt Lucy to pick up her present from her, and instead meets weird characters who insist that her aunt has a beagle named Charlie and that she has turned into a butterfly. A modern adaptation of the classic children's story 'Alice through the Looking Glass', which continued on from the popular 'Alice in Wonderland' story. This time Alice is played by the mother, who falls asleep while reading the the bedtime story to her daughter. Walking through the Looking Glass, Alice finds herself in Chessland, a magical and fun world. There she meets the Red and White Queens, as well as many other amusing friends on her journey across the chessboard countryside onto become a crowned queen.

Alice is in a dimension known as Maravilhas - which is already in a post-apocalyptic period and the protagonist is looking for her beloved Glenda. During her search she allies herself with an old love of the two - Hatter - to face the Cult of Hearts.

This is the first movie version of the famous story. Alice dozes in a garden, awakened by a dithering white rabbit in waistcoat with pocket watch. She follows him down a hole and finds herself in a hall of many doors.

A jet-propelled white rabbit flies through the vulva of a supine woman into a wonderland where people and objects turn inside out, changing shapes and identities at warp speed. Events roughly follow Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland." The caterpillar and the queen make appearances, as does Alice. Images and symbols are often sexual. At the end, Alice asks, "Who has had such a curious dream?"

The short film is based on the novel of the same name by Lewis Carroll. This version has been re-edited from the 2019 filming.

Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" goes goth in Mari Terashima's screen adaptation of the children's classic. Terashima brings together Goth Loli performance troupe Rose de Reficul et Guiggles, doll maker Mari Shimizu and magician and actor-dwarf Mame Yamada (Blue Spring, 9 Souls) to create a macabre trip down the rabbit hole. The film appears animated, but the gothic characters are as real as can be.

In Dublin for her sister's wedding, Alice's night takes a curious turn when she stumbles into Hartstown, and has a series of very odd encounters with the local nightlife.

Following a strange encounter with a swan found on the streets of London, a girl begins to lose her grip on reality. She is led to a large house where the lines between dreams and memories become indistinguishable, as she struggles with her relationships, her obsession with perfection and her identity. Loosely inspired by the mythology of Leda and The Swan, it looks at the way women cope with trauma, questions the idea of self and takes you on a journey through one woman's psyche.

From the elaborate Broadway revival of the 1932 Eva Le Gallienne/Florida Friebus production comes a whimsical retelling of the Lewis Carroll classic.
