After a rare meteor shower, Bai Susu begins hearing a voice narrating her life and realizes she’s the tragic heroine of a novel. Determined to escape her doomed fate, she leaves her toxic husband and tries to rewrite her story, but ignoring the voice traps her in a mysterious time loop.

An updated version of the popular series from the late 50's and early 60's, One Step Beyond. Special Investigation Robo Janperson was the 1993 installment in Toei Company’s Metal Hero Series. The series revolved around Janperson, a robotic detective who patrolled the streets of Tokyo and fought against three different underworld organizations who used super technology to subjugate the masses.
