Thrift you up

In 2014, three local filmmakers in Nottingham were invited to document the life of charity shop manager Sue Tuke. In an attempt to raise the shop's profile, Sue planned to get the business 'on the net' to prevent the store from closure and become an online super star in the making. Not all went to plan as Sue’s ambitious ideas were met with obstacles from both inside and outside the shop resulting in a series of catastrophes. Sue therefore decided to not participate further in filming and the footage has not been seen… until now.

The story of the Convoys is a tale of compelling drama, full of bravery and tragedy. It takes us into the lives of hundreds of thousands of unheralded men whose incredible everyday courage, played out in the cruel seas and cold skies of the North Atlantic changed the course of the war.

Major real-life air disasters are depicted in this series. Each episode features a detailed dramatized reconstruction of the incident based on cockpit voice recorders and air traffic control transcripts, as well as eyewitnesses recounts and interviews with aviation experts.

Driven was a motoring television programme launched by Channel 4 in 1998 as a rival to the successful and long-running BBC series Top Gear. The style was similar to its rival, but with additional features such as the "Driven 100", a road test of three cars in the same class, where each car would be given marks for qualities such as practicality, desirability and cost of ownership. The car with the highest total score would be the winner. The programme launched with the concept that the presenters should interact with each other rather than present items on their own, as was then the case on Top Gear. The first series also featured a "headquarters", a racing team truck, set on a former air force base at which cars were put through their paces. These concepts resurfaced in the reborn Top Gear soon after.

Elite World Cops is a television series starring former SAS soldier and author Chris Ryan. Ryan travels the world meeting some of the worlds most elite police units. The format of the show usually involves Ryan training with the unit, observing tactics and hardware and comparing them to his own experiences in the SAS. The show is currently airing on Bravo in the United Kingdom. It also airs on the USA National Geographic Channel renamed as Shadow Soldiers.
