He pitties the fool who doesn't know his psychology!
I have like Ben Miller ever since he played a rather sardonic member of thenUK’s intelligence community in the sci-fi series Primeval. It could have been a rather two-dimensional character but he gave it wit and depth (with assistance from the writing, of course).
He is also very good in this rather demanding role. Sometimes smug and pretentious, he still elicits sympathy and a positive perception through it all. The supporting cast is also fine. There were a few places that seemed rather predictable but not to the point of being boring.
There have been a couple other versions of this show in other countries: one done in Dutch that was also shown on PBS, so I am not the only one who feels it holds a winning combination.
