The Story of Light Entertainment is a British documentary series shown on the BBC in 2006. The series comprises eight episodes and is narrated by Stephen Fry.

'Salty Sam' Stephenson, Pamela's great, great grandfather, family legend has it was the owner and captain of the sailing ship ROSALIE who was abandoned by his crew in the 1820s and never heard of again. A chance encounter with the descendant of another crew member who had a different story to tell prompted Pamela to discover the fate of her ancestor. Delving in maritime archives she begins to piece together his background. From Rotherhithe she retraces his journeys along the old spice route and hires a sailing boat with a heavily armed crew to continue her search in pirate-infested waters. Ohjelma kuvaa todellista poliisin työtä ja sitä, mitä poliisipartio saa työssään kohdata Suomen suurimmissa kaupungeissa. Sarja toteutetaan yhteistyössä sisäasiainministeriön poliisiosaston kanssa. Sarjan ensiesitys 26. tammikuuta 2009 rikkoi 247 000 katsojallaan Jimin katsojaennätyksen. Poliisit on myös Nelonen Median netti-tv:n katsotuimpia ohjelmia. Muita suomalaisia poliisin toimintaan liittyviä televisiosarjoja ovat Subin Lainvalvojat ja Yle TV2:n Poliisi-TV. Sarjan ohjelmaformaatti myytiin Yhdysvaltoihin keväällä 2010. Aito Media Oy solmi sopimuksen Scott Sternberg -tuotantoyhtiön ja Weinberger Median kanssa. Sopimus solmittiin Scott Sternbergin kanssa Cannesissa järjestettävillä MIPTV-messuilla.

Viidakon tähtöset on keväällä 2012 Sub-kanavalla alkanut sarja. Sarjaan valitut kymmenen julkkista joutuvat keskelle viidakkoa, jossa heidän täytyy Selviytyjät-sarjan tavoin selviytyä erilaisista raha- ja majoitustehtävistä. Kuvausryhmän lisäksi sarjassa mukana olleet kilpailijat saivat kuvata omaakin materiaalia, jota esitettiin Sub-kanavan nettisivuilta. Sarjan ensimmäinen tuotantokausi kuvattiin Thaimaassa sijaitsevassa viidakossa syksyllä 2011.

Each Challenge pits numerous cast members from past seasons of reality shows against each other, dividing them into two separate teams according to different criteria, such as gender, which show they first appeared on, whether or not they're veterans or rookies on the show, etc. The two teams compete in numerous missions in order to win prizes and advance in the overall game.

Driven was a motoring television programme launched by Channel 4 in 1998 as a rival to the successful and long-running BBC series Top Gear. The style was similar to its rival, but with additional features such as the "Driven 100", a road test of three cars in the same class, where each car would be given marks for qualities such as practicality, desirability and cost of ownership. The car with the highest total score would be the winner. The programme launched with the concept that the presenters should interact with each other rather than present items on their own, as was then the case on Top Gear. The first series also featured a "headquarters", a racing team truck, set on a former air force base at which cars were put through their paces. These concepts resurfaced in the reborn Top Gear soon after.

The New Inventors is an Australian television show, broadcast on ABC1, and hosted by broadcaster and comedian James O'Loghlin. Each episode features three Australian inventions and short video tape packages. IP Australia, a supporter of the program, describes it as a way for Australian inventions to gain publicity and possible entrance into the mass market. The 200th episode of the program was broadcast on 29 October 2008. The program aired on Wednesday nights at 8pm. The grand finale edition for season 7 was broadcast on 23 September 2010 on ABC.
