Fantom operety

The drama follows the Long Wind Escort Agency as they are led by young master Guo Xu to thwart the conspiracy plots. Along the way, the romantic and chivalrous Guo Xu encounters various people during their escort missions.

During the Ming Dynasty, the emperor suddenly became seriously ill and fell into a coma. The court was leaderless, causing chaos. At this time, Hei Ni, the king of the Black Teeth Kingdom, came to visit. The 18th prince Long'er hosted a banquet to entertain the guests. During the banquet, Hei Ni boasted that the country's national power was boundless and it had four unparalleled masters: the God of War, the God of Poetry, the God of Cookery, and the God of Chess. Long'er secretly laughed because these four were exactly the strengths of the Han people, so the two sides immediately decided to compete, but the cunning and despicable Hei Ni had already bribed the four masters of the Ming Dynasty. Only then did Long Er realize that he had fallen into his trap. The Ming Emperor falls into a coma without naming a successor, which leaves the princes and Lord of Qi all vying for the throne. During this time, a series of murders was happening in the capital. Liu Shan Men, a government branch responsible for the safety of the capital, is ordered to investigate. The agents soon discover that the murders are only a precursor to a bigger conspiracy within the royal court.

The manga has been licensed by Del Rey. An anime adaptation of Pumpkin Scissors has been released, produced by Gonzo and AIC, which began airing on October 2, 2006 across several Japanese television stations and ended with the 24th episode on March 19, 2007. The series was originally licensed to the North American market by ADV Films for $780,000. In 2008 it became one of over thirty titles transferred from ADV Films to FUNimation, the main distributor of anime in the English speaking world.

The X-Family is a Taiwanese drama starring Pauline Lan, Jiro Wang, Danson Tang, Sunnie Huang, Calvin Chen, and Aaron Yan. It is a sequel to 2005 series KO One and was produced by Comic International Productions. The series started filming in June 2006 and wrapped in April 2007. It was broadcast on cable TV Gala Television Variety Show/CH 28 on 8 August 2007 to 23 October 2007. The prequel KO One was broadcast on 26 November 2005 to 27 May 2006 and a threequel, K.O.3an Guo was broadcast on 28 February 2009 to 27 February 2010, on cable TV Gala Television Variety Show/CH 28.
