Pop Idol is a British television music competition which ran on ITV from 2001 to 2003. Aspiring female vocalists from all over Korea compete to win the prize: big prize money and a chance to record a hit single. To be the next queen of trot music, the contestants must prove not only that they can sing trot, but also they love and cherish the genre. The show is hosted by Kim Sung-joo feat twelve music masters, from the best K-pop vocalist, mega-songwriter to trot music lovers.

Bulgaria Searches for a Talent is the Bulgarian version of the Got Talent series. It launched on bTV on 1 March 2010. Singers, dancers, comedians, variety acts, and other performers compete against each other for audience support. The winner of the show will receive 60,000 leva (about €30,000).

Nayika Nayakan (transl. Heroine, Hero) is an Indian Malayalam-language reality TV talent show which was broadcast on Mazhavil Manorama channel from 28 May 2018 to 17 October 2018. The show's jury was headed by film director Lal Jose and actors Kunchacko Boban and Samvrutha Sunil. The reality show features 16 young talents, 8 boys, and 8 girls, who aspire to be the next superstars of Mollywood. The reality show had various rounds, both indoor and outdoor, where the contestants were judged for their performances. Many challenging tasks like pursuing real-life characters, enacting popular stories, to taking up risky stunts, the show had it all. On the finale, Shambhu Menon and Darshana S. Nair were declared the winners of the show by Lal Jose and the lead pair for his upcoming Malayalam feature film Solomonte Theneechakal(2022). The runners-up of the show Vincy Aloshious and Addis Antony Akkara were selected to play pivotal roles in the film.

P. Diddy's Starmaker is an American interactive talent show that first aired on MTV in August 2009. It is currently presented by Kimberly Caldwell, with P. Diddy, Rodney Jerkins, Tamara Conniff and Laurie Ann Gibson as judges.
