I don't know what happened .... when I was little I loved him .....❤
(Roberto speaks of love and refers to his mother)
Santina Vaccaro Russell Perez Laura Matassa
The series begins with a clear aphorism, we understand where the director wants to go. However, we don't know exactly how she will approach this eternal relationship of love and hate between a mother and her child. What expedient does Tiberio Romano use to describe this bond in an original way, what is the secret ingredient of his cinema?
The story is that of Roberto, a sixteen year old who sees his relationship with his mother, Alessandra, wear out day after day. The fault of this undoing would lie only with the hated parent. Her mother, separated from her husband who didn't feel ready to be a father, is a mixture of tenacity and kindness that puts the young Roberto under pressure. The boy has no interest in her. He feels so subdued by his dictatorial ways.
The mother and the son: two entities as equal as they are different. A love that is often held up by the same hatred that at the same time wears it down. BETRAYED ADOLESCENCE portrays a young man with all the problems and all the joys that this society has in store for him. Yet the author and director Tiberio Romano focuses on a theme so ancestral and so used that in any case it appears unique and original in this film thanks to its harsh but true poetics at the same time.
