Women gather power to revenge on targets, as well as uncover social injustice.

Four female friends and former classmates – Xia Yan (Sun Yi), Zhao Xiao Lei (Du Yu Chen), Xiang Nan (Zhang Wen), and Han Shuang (Ma Li) – have formed a bond that could last a lifetime. But as they approach the end of their twenties, they all find themselves facing up to a range of very different challenges.

Through the stories of nine kids living in the Chinese Shopping Mall, this film depicts their diverse and magical life experiences. In the summer of 1985, while Xiaobudian (the tiny one) was at the fourth grade, he was already a convincing street vendor, who sold stuff for allowance on a skywalk every day. Xiaobudian’s father is a shoe shop owner who was doing business in the Chinese Shopping Mall. One day, a magician from nowhere showed up in the mall. He had a treasure bowl and a zebra capable of emitting colorful lights, and he was able to make countless magic tricks. Xiaobudian admired this magician, and bought magic props for practice every day. At the same time, more and more boys and girls in the mall have met this mysterious magician, and gained life-changing power after they watched the magic show.

Yeo Reum who just got her first job is Ji Hun’s girlfriend. Ji Hun who doesn’t have a specific job is a member of a band named Yellow. Yeo Reum is a realistic girl who works hard to be a decent grownup and she finds it hard to understand Ji Hun who has nothing but only Yeo Reum in his mind. One day, Ji Hun notices that Yeo Reum decided to break up with him and goes to meet her, and she really breaks up with him there. Tokyo Friends is a Japanese television drama released on June 3, 2005. Unlike many other dramas, it was never aired on TV but released as a set of 3 DVDs. Volumes one and two contain the first 4 episodes while volume three contains the last episode. Each episode is approximately 70 minutes. The Tokyo Friends Premium Box was also released which includes all 5 episodes, a bonus DVD, and 12 postcards. Although this is a very typical Tokyo-story and was never aired on TV, it was quite successful probably because it was Ai Otsuka's debut as an actress.

Sun is an optimistic person that loves playing the guitar but was born with heart disease. A good relationship forms between Khim and Sun in the classical music club, but misunderstandings, rivalries, and family problems await them in the near future. What destiny will they face?

Eventually, Beth allows Florida's daughter, Flor, to stay over at her house and Flor eventually befriends Liza, however their friendship will be threatened by their parents' intertwining love stories.
