Since the dawn of time, geography has shaped the fate of nations. This three-part documentary explores how mountains, rivers, seas, and deserts have influenced the decisions of governments, as well as the rise of civilisations. Geography remains a constant force in history, from determining a nation’s location on the world map to its access to natural resources. While the USA’s ascent as a global power was driven by its unique position between two oceans, Russia’s history has been defined by its relentless search for warm-water ports. China’s geopolitical importance stems from its historical position as the hub of Eurasian trade, from the ancient Silk Road to its current maritime dominance in the Pacific. Today’s global powers owe their status and significance to natural forces. Geography is the ultimate creator of nations.

Media logic investigates the difference between image and reality. Media serve as a guide to get a grip on reality. But to what extent are they a reliable guide? How is public opinion formed? And what influence does this have on the actions of administrators, journalists and citizens?

"Forgotten Wars of Russia" is a series of documentary films about armed conflicts that the Russian state entered from the time of the baptism of Russia to the Patriotic War of 1812. Over the years, Russia has been confronted by the strongest powers: Byzantium, Sweden, the Ottoman Empire, Persia, the Golden Horde… The viewer will learn about the features of weapons and tactics of warfare at different stages of national history, will see the reconstruction of the unknown battles of Kutuzov and Bagration, Bogdan Khmelnitsky and Denis Davydov, Vladimir Monomakh and Svyatoslav the Wise. The cycle consists of 12 episodes, each of which is dedicated to the history of one war. Long gone times and events come to life on the screen in sieges and chases, the brilliance of metal and cannon smoke, in political intrigues and in the drama of human life in war.

Dateline NBC, or simply Dateline, is a weekly American television newsmagazine series. It was previously the network's flagship newsmagazine, but now focuses mainly on true crime stories with only occasional editions that focus on other topics.

Major real-life air disasters are depicted in this series. Each episode features a detailed dramatized reconstruction of the incident based on cockpit voice recorders and air traffic control transcripts, as well as eyewitnesses recounts and interviews with aviation experts.

Driven was a motoring television programme launched by Channel 4 in 1998 as a rival to the successful and long-running BBC series Top Gear. The style was similar to its rival, but with additional features such as the "Driven 100", a road test of three cars in the same class, where each car would be given marks for qualities such as practicality, desirability and cost of ownership. The car with the highest total score would be the winner. The programme launched with the concept that the presenters should interact with each other rather than present items on their own, as was then the case on Top Gear. The first series also featured a "headquarters", a racing team truck, set on a former air force base at which cars were put through their paces. These concepts resurfaced in the reborn Top Gear soon after.
