Viewers (referred to as 'national producers') voted online for 11 members from 101 participants from various entertainment companies and individual participants in several elimination rounds. The group concept, group name and debut song are also determined by the audience.

Boys II Planet is a survival show broadcasted on Mnet. It is a sequel to Girls Planet 999 and Boys Planet. Planet K premiered on July 17 while Planet C started airing on July 18, 2025. Boys II Planet is based on the themes and aesthetics of space. It consists of two programs, K and C, produced in Korean and Chinese respectively, with both programs following the same format for each contest. The show will create a twin group project, with both groups debuting at the same time. The final line-up will work in two different groups, K and C, and will also work as a complete group.

BOYS24 is a 2016 reality boy group unit survival show. It is a large-scale project in which the units of a selected number of members will be produced from a pool of 49 free-agents. 28 trainees, instead of the planned 24, were selected as Boys24 members and were divided into four sub-units who held concerts three to five days a week in rotation for a year.
