Her father wants her to settle down with her coworker Stephen, a star lawyer at the firm who is smitten with her. She prefers Scott, the tavern owner she meets in the first episode, who her father doesn't approve of. Alex relies on the advice of her assistant Molly and British neighbor Julian. Comedian Wayne Federman has a recurring role as office sycophant, Johnson.

Almost a year later The WB decided burn off 5 unaired episodes following a repeat of the pilot on August 6, 2006. The series concluded on September 10, 2006.

Teachers Only is an NBC television sitcom centered around the faculty of a high school; in the first season the school was Millard Fillmore High in Los Angeles, but in the second it is Woodrow Wilson High in New York with a changed cast. This show ran for only two seasons, in 1982 and 1983.
