The series takes place in the old shitamachi area of Tokyo, and in these most recent episodes, 20-year old heroine Hitomi becomes the force around which her divorced mother, long estranged from her own father, is forced to reconcile and renew a sense of family camaraderie. This is not particularly easy, given the trifling issues and problems of modern day life that beset each of the characters, and the drama unfolds with a light comedic touch. Hitomi's upbringing is the issue that is constantly brought into focus. The family reconciliation is made possible, ironically through the death of Hitomi's grandmother. Hitomi seizes the opportunity to travel to her funeral from Sapporo. Kappa Mikey is an American animated sitcom created by Larry Schwarz, who chose 4Kids Entertainment as the worldwide licensing, marketing and official promotional agent of the series. The show is Nicktoons's first original half-hour series, bought during the same period as other Animation Collective series such as Three Delivery and Speed Racer: The Next Generation, as well as Flash shows from other studios, such as Edgar & Ellen and The Secret Show, though the latter was made from BBC. The series premiered on January 6, 2006, as Nickelodeon aired several reruns and premieres as a promotional movement from August 20, 2006 to January 2007. The series is MTV's first global acquisition, and is currently available on iTunes.

Go, Diego, Go! is a children's television series created by Chris Gifferd and Valerie Walsh, and is a spin-off of Dora the Explorer. The show premiered on September 6, 2005 and ended on September 16, 2011 on Nickelodeon. It also aired as part of the Nick Jr. on CBS block from September 17, 2005 to September 9, 2006. On December 20, 2006, Nick Jr. announced that it had ordered twenty new episodes that were in production. Since April 2008, the show has been dubbed into Spanish and airs in the United States on Univision as part of their Planeta U block.

Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action! is an animated television series by DIC Entertainment, Dualstar, Buena Vista Television and Club Acclaim, featuring the voices and likeness of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It is also a series of books that spun off, from the show. The show premiered on October 20, 2001 on The Walt Disney Company's One Saturday Morning on The American Broadcasting Company and was cancelled after one season due to poor ratings. Reruns were later shown on Toon Disney.

The show stars Mehran Modiri, as Shir Farhad, the son of Lower Barare's khan, or leader. He lives with his sister, Saharnaz; mother, Shadone; and father, Salar Khan. The show begins when a journalist, Kiyanush, from Tehran is arrested for writing an article criticizing the government, escapes capture, and then is bitten by a snake. Shir Farhad finds him collapsed and brings him to the village of Barare, nurtures him to health, and gradually introduces him to the town and the other characters in the show, such as the families of Upper and Lower Barare's Khans, as well as the flamboyant village poet, Baguri, and village doctor. Later in the series, new characters such as the village gendarme and Upper Barare's Khan's son and daughter, Keivun and Leilun, join the cast. Davune doesn't appear in this.
