Taking on the rundown houses in a distressed neighborhood, the teams will renovate one home each – while also living together – in a bid to raise the property value of the community surrounding them. The team that increases the appeal of their home to the max goes home with the grand prize of $50,000 and their home renovation will be featured on Dwell magazine’s website. Designer, Kathy Kuo, and Cincinnati-based house flipper, Jim Bronzie, judge the team’s renovations.

Real estate broker Ryan Serhant and his wife, Emilia Bechrakis, gut their newly acquired 7,900-square-foot townhouse, located in Brooklyn, N.Y., to create the home of their dreams with enough room for everyone in their large Greek family. In each episode, viewers will see the transformation of the constantly evolving townhouse, with more than a few hiccups along the way. Ryan and Emilia deal with unforeseen setbacks, including construction delays, familial drama and cost overruns, as they experience making a house into a home.

The show is a spin-off of the format Alessandro Borghese - 4 Ristoranti, where hotels, rather than restaurants, compete against each other. These hotels belong to the same commercial category and are located in the same geographical area. Each of the four hotel owners takes turns hosting the other three colleagues and Barbieri for a day and a night at their establishment. The hoteliers rate the location, services, rooms, prices, and, starting from the fourth season, the quality of the breakfast, giving scores from 0 to 10.

In the final episode, The Mole is revealed and the one remaining player wins the jackpot, up to $1,000,000.

The Apprentice is an Irish reality television series, in which a group of aspiring young businessmen and women compete for the chance to win a job as "apprentice" to Bill Cullen, a business magnate. The first series of the show aired on TV3 on 22 September 2008, and finished on 8 December 2008, with Brenda Shanahan as the winner. Bundy's last performance in the musical was on July 20, 2008. Hanks began performances on July 23, 2008 and remained with the show until it closed on October 19, 2008. Hansen played Margot in the musical and Zakrin performed in the ensemble as well serving as understudy to Becky Gulsvig as Elle Woods. The show began with 15 contestants. All except the winner were eliminated over nine episodes, in which they performed songs and faced other challenges. A three-judge panel made the elimination decisions. Most episodes involved a small prize for the winner of the challenge.

According to local legend, the house was owned by a widowed sea captain and hasn't been touched in decades. Combining Daryl's love of history and vintage architecture, he and his team of craftsman will have this one-bedroom cottage singing with 1780s charm by the time they’re finished.
